1. They must Accept Report
Joe Sombrero ,   USA   (07.16.12)
These rabbis don't represent me they are just JStreet lovers. They don't represent the majority of American Jews I will be very angry if the Israeli goverment does not accept report.
2. It's funny talking to a settler
Yosef ,   Beit Shemesh, Israel   (07.16.12)
They're essentially the Jewish equivalent of America's deep-south bible thumpers, and just like the deep south bible-thumpers they seriously can't figure out why the international community never takes them seriously and 98% of the world views them as crazy bible-thumping nutcases. Maybe it's just the siege mentality, but logic simply defies these people.
3. Sorry, folks....
R in Jerusalem ,   jerusalem, Israel   (07.16.12)
It's just history. Israel should have spread this information widely in the last 40 years: this is our case. Too bad if it offends anyone.
4. The Levy report is the road map to the future !
Chgris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.16.12)
Whoever thinks otherwise is from yesterday !
5. The Levy report M U S T be adopted !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.16.12)
6. Jewish Leaders?
Jordan Ariel ,   Philadelphia   (07.16.12)
If these are our leaders, then G-d help us all.
7. DON'T GET INTIMIDATED !
Fo ,   Belgium   (07.16.12)
No country gets delegitimized when fighting for its by_International Law recognized rights. Don't get intimidated by US Jews who have, it seems no knowledge of modern Jewish history. By the way, remember US Jews pressure for stopping criticism on Hitler ? Remember US Jewish pressure for stopping the screening of Chaplin's film "The Dictator" ? Remember the publishing of an anti-Israeli book, "What Price Israel ?" by a US Jew, Alfred Lilienthal, notwithstanding the Shoah ? I would firmly advice the 40 prominent US Jewish figures to read the report written by the "US Center for Security Policy" about the Golan Heights. Just read here the 2 last sentences of this report: "A Mandate Is a Trust, according to ART. 80 of the UN Charter"... "Syria cannot make a standing claim in an International Court of Law, as Syria was not an Independent Country Country then, but was in its formative years under French Mandate. The "Golan Heights", as they are known today were never part of Syrian Real Estate, but part of the Palestine Mandate". The same counts for Judea and Samaria, the "West-Bank" as some call it, as it never, of course was in "its formative years" , being part of the Palestine Mandate. Full text of the "Special Report on the Golan Heights", prepared for the "US Center for Security Policy" is available on Internet.

ralph   (07.16.12)
9. These are the cowards and the destroyers
Israeli 2   (07.16.12)
of Israel. These are the Obama voters. These are not our friends.
10. American Jewish leaders and scholars
Dov ,   USA   (07.16.12)
It's time to put your money and brains where your mouth is. Go make peace. If you can. I doubt it.
11. Eff you U.S Jews...
Avi ,   Israel   (07.16.12)
When we want your advice, we will give it to you fools. Keep your opinion to yourselves and oh,by the way, you can keep Sarah B too...
12. These pathetic cowards should be fired immediately.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.16.12)
It is ludicrous to allow unelected, self proclaimed "Jewish leaders" to counsel us against claiming our more than 3,500 year old ancestral heartland. These pathetic cowards should all be fired immediately. Not one dime of support should ever go to their organizations.
13. #2. Your "logic" would see Israel with a 9 mile waist!!!
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.16.12)
#2. You pose as an intellectual who looks down on those who assert Jewish rights to our ancient ancestral heartland. However, your "logic" would see Israel with a nine mile (15 minute tank ride) waist!!!! You know what you can do with your ludicrous "logic".
14. #2, you are dead wrong.
Lobo ,   USA   (07.16.12)
All of the "settlers" I have met/talked to are warm, friendly, and helpful. This is a complete contrast from many (not all, mind you) of the Tel Aviv Cafe commandos I've met; I find them to be the exact opposite, not to mention they're among the most hypocritical people I've ever met.
15. The right to settle
Don Straub ,   Euclid, Ohio,USA   (07.16.12)
The Levy report, through historical review, rejects the fallacy of "occupation." American Jewish leaders should take a hard look at themselves. Their faulty opinions endanger Israel, not the Levy report. It is a monumental step in securing Israel's future. It is built on the truth of factual history.
16. Like any other country
Aviela Deitch ,   Migron, Israel   (07.16.12)
Israel needs to hold her head high and proclaim to the world that just as any other country, Israel will put her own safety and prosperity FIRST over other countries, their politics and their nit-pickers. It's about time! Okay, politicians, hold your heads high!
17. To Yosef, #2
Aviela Deitch ,   Migron,Israel   (07.16.12)
It is so amazing that, especially at this time of year, when we are supposed to go out of our way to love another Jew, you still seem to think it's okay to publish your verbal diarrhea of hatred, not to mention complete ignorance toward other Jews. You are welcome to come visit and educate yourself!
18. Embrace the inevitable, Palestine Israel, 2 States 1 Country
COLBERT ,   Treadmill, ISS   (07.16.12)
...with 5.8 million Jews, and 8.8 million Palestinians, in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, and outside refugees from 1948, and their descendants (3 million).
19. #2 define "settler"
Zvi   (07.16.12)
There are many different types of "settlers," and the people that the world labels "settlers" include people who live in East Jerusalem. Your statements reveal a deep-seated prejudice against so-called "settlers".
20. THEY ARE NOT US JEWISH LEADERS
daniel rossi ,   nyc, ny   (07.16.12)
The opinion expressed by these Liberal Vermin is not that of US Jews or any leaders I know of. Annex Judea and Samaria and the Golan heights ASAP. That is the opinion of US Jews.
21. Stanley Gold ran the Federation into the ground, NOT a
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.16.12)
leader, not for Israel, not to speak for real Jews who love Israel.
22. 40 Jewish Leaders Get it Straight!
Benny ,   Iran   (07.16.12)
It is shameful that 40 Jewish Leaders are clueless that Judea & Samaria was part of the Palestine Mandate which granted 70% of Jordan to Israel. It was stolen by "the Brits & handed to Jordan" illegally & against the wishes of 51 countries who voted for this area to be the Jewish Homeland. Read "From Time Immemorial" & you will find that Arabs had almost zero presence in the Jewish homeland in the 1920's. Don't be fooled by leftist illiterates, Ny Times, etc. They all got it wrong. The Arabs sneaked into Judea,Samaria & Israel running away from oppressive regimes just like they are doing up to now from Darfur etc/ That does not make them "Palestinians" They are Bedouins,Period!
23. #9 - YEAP!
Yossef   (07.16.12)
24. Twisted logic
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.16.12)
"The Palestinians and most of the international community say the West Bank was under Jordanian control when it was captured and is not Israeli territory, meaning it is occupied land." If we follow this to its logical conclusion,we find that ANY territory that was illegally taken under control by invasion becomes occupied territory even after liberation by its rightful Sovereign. So,because great tracts of Europe were occupied and controlled by Germany during WW2,they are now 'occupied territory'? That includes Austria, the Czech Republic,Slovakia, most of France,Poland, western Russia and so on and so on....even the Channel Islands! That is clearly as much a nonsense as the contention, here, that 'International Law' is determined by an international consensus.I've never heard of a court determining a law by doing an opinion poll. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
25. So called 'Jewish leaders'
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (07.16.12)
I wonder how many of them have children who have married out. And they probably support so-called 'same sex marriage!' They have lost all connection with their heritage. Stay out of our business!!
26. When these "leaders"
Naor ,   USA   (07.16.12)
Move to Israel and it is THEIR children who are in the danger that any withdrawal from Judea and Samaria pose maybe people will take their opinions seriously. Until then they have no right to tell Israelis to compromise on their security and homeland.
27. Ego Money & Power do not = a leader
EgoMoney&Power ,   Jerusalem   (07.16.12)
Once again self appointed guardians of the Jewish people Assimilated Jews with more money than brains ther ancestors must be rolling over in their graves. Ego Money and now Power fuels these "leaders" footnotes if that in Jewish history.
28. Leaders like these are Cause of our Destructoin!
Jewish Warrior ,   everywhere   (07.16.12)
better to not have a LEADER that trries to hide the truth & rejects the rightfull ownership of Jews to thier LAND! WE NEED COURAGEOUS LEADER NOT bunch of COWARD LIARS CALLING THEMSILVES LEADER!
29. #18
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (07.16.12)
Your awarding of 8.8 million Pals the entire Palestine Mandate administered by the UK west of the Jordan River is beyond ignorance. It rewards the 64 plus yrs. of Arab intransigence towards a Jewish state, loathing of the Jew, and ultimately efforts to destroy the Jewish State. Many,if not most of the 8.8 million, were not even born in the Mandate area, and should not even be considered refugees. The others actively supported the destruction of Israel in the war of Jewish independence in 1948 and co-operated with the Arab authorities orders to leave the Jewish and non-Jewish areas to ease efforts by the invading armies of Egypt,Lebanon,Syria Trans Jordan and Iraq to strangle the newly established Jewish State. Most left voluntarily, but some were driven away by the IDF. But the major injustice was the effort to destroy Israel - to push it into the sea.
30. Stupid and dangerous report
Dave from Brazil ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (07.16.12)
People seem to forget that there is a very large Palestinian population in the West Bank which someday will need to be full citizens of some country. And whoever thinks forcing or encouraging them to leave will work needs to seriously wake up.
