We need to pre empt now whilst Assad is weak and destroy those weapons. He has some advanced surface-surface missiles which he can target at Israel, he has anti aircraft systems and of course the WMD. Oh genius defense minister has it never occurred to you that desperate men do desperate things and if we wait till his final days he might decide to go down in a blaze of glory and attack Israel. If we pre empt whilst his military is busy trying to deal with protestors then we at least set the rules of the game and we at least get to destroy at least before he has a chance to respond and when he does respond we will be ready for him. Lets think about defending this country not what the world will think of us. In 1967 we knew war was coming and we decided we had a better chance if we acted like the bad guy and took the first shot and it was a great victory.
