Go visit... elsewhere.
2. If the 'One' comes ...
J Galt ,   Hidden Valley, USA   (07.24.12)
don't sign the seven year peace deal he is carrying!

4. To Those Who Doubt the Sincerity of President Obama
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (07.24.12)
I am sorry to disappoint the doubters of Obama's support for Israel,BUT do not overlook the following:No previous administration has done more to support Israel than the present one.Over $3 billion a year is provided to support Israel's military to ensure it has the latest technologies and weapons available. In addition,$250 million in supplemental funding has been provided to develop the Iron Dome missile system, praised by Israel's defense leaders as successful in saving lives of Israelis who live under threat from Hamas' rockets. The US has also sold Israel bunker busting bombs,co-operated with the Israelis in the development of the Arrow and Sling missile systems. The US weapons stored in Israel can be used by the IDF during an emergency. The US has defended the legitimacy of Israel at the UN and other venues, and has voted with Israel 100% of the time at the UN - a first in modern history. The US is selling the F-35 fighter, the most effective fighter in the world, to Israel.
5. Nobody cares. Nobody.
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.24.12)
After BOWING to Arab dictators, 'Kings' and despots, finally making time for a visit to Israel is a pathetic election-year ploy that nobody will give any import to. Mr. Obama has alienated Israel and the Jews of America. He won't be getting my vote, even if he buys a truckload of Jaffa oranges. It's too late for apologies, but it is time for a new American President that will treat Israel with respect as befitting the only democracy in the mideast.
6. Obama will impose '67 borders on Israel, end settlements
COLBERT ,   Treadmill, ISS   (07.24.12)
...using the bully pulpit, and withholding UN Veto if Israel does not play ball.
7. Reagan and Bush did not go to Egypt or bow to Saudi King
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NYC   (07.24.12)
It is not Obama's lack of visit to Israel as President, but his lack of balencing visit after going and appeasing the Muslim world with his speach in Egypt and bowing in Saudi Arabia.
8. Does anyone actually believe that?
LYP ,   Brooklyn, NY   (07.24.12)
It has been almost for years, and all Obama has done was criticize Israel and throw them under the bus at every opportunity possible. When the terrorist on the flotilla refused to cooperate with the legal blockade, why was Obama so quick to jump to criticize the IDF? Forcing a complete investigation and having the UN get involved. Why isn't he forcing the UN to condemn the terrorist attack in Burgas? Please, he is going to travel to Russia and more Arab countries to blame them for him losing the reelection, instead of taking responsibility for his failed national and international policies. Obama's policy with Israel are Pro- useless. No one actually buys he is a friend of Israel.
9. Hopefully, that means Obama will never visit Israel again.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.24.12)
Who wants Obama to visit Israel? Hopefully, Obama's pledged to visit Israel, if reelected, means he will never visit Israel again.
10. "Second Term": what a dreadful couple of words!
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.24.12)
11. 1st Prize..One Obama visit......2nd Prize...Two Obama Visits
Alan ,   SA   (07.24.12)
12. We Don't learn.
Dan ,   USA   (07.24.12)
More pandering for the Jewish vote which he will receive anyway. If the U.S.voter is smart, he will never make the trip.
13. A trip now would be worse than meaningless
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.24.12)
To visit now would be a clear political ploy to garner Jewish votes (and money) for the coming election. But it would also be an opportunity for Obama not only to chastise Israel for not getting with his "program", but to expect Israel to pay a "price" for his showing up. No thanks. Obama should stay home. And here's hoping he won't have reason to fulfill this promise of a post-reelection visit.
14. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...
Daniel ,   Miami, USA   (07.24.12)
15. Very typical of the politician Obama...
Buskila ,   South America   (07.24.12)
Well tis the season for more promises (aka briberies) from a guy whose motto was "Yes we can" all the way to the WH, and then he went ahead and started the desintegration of USA, as we know it. Its pretty superfluous to list here the promises he gave the Americans and the world about the NEW WORLD..well, our prince Nobel Price For Peace Laureate (it's funny to let him have it, jut on his words which obviously, he happened to not fulfill). Look, the man has good intention, but his policies have been telling different story. Unfortunately, his whole personality is not suitable for compromises: but Politics, especially in a Democracy, is the Art of Compromises; which President Obama is painfully lacking. He may have visited Israel while he was in Cairo giving a very unusual speech!!! But he did'nt. Now he remisices for not doing it..?! Yes you cannot.
16. I HOPE ISRAELIS KNOW WHO TO SPIT ON OR THROW SHOES AT...
  (07.24.12)
17. why should US presidents grovel to Israel?
yankee   (07.24.12)
American presidents didn't used to talk about Israel anymore than they talked about Peru. Nowadays you'd think America was an Israeli colony. It is scandalous the way Jews have taken over America and subverted its foreign policy. If there is another war for Israel , it will lead to a revolution in the USA.
18. "Obama will visit Israel if reelected". For an American
leo ,   usa   (07.24.12)
like myself it does not amount to much.
19. He must be getting sort of desparate!
Mira ,   Vienna   (07.24.12)
Guy, if thazt is so, you will not have any chance to correct your stupid decisions concerning the ME! you will NOT get reelected. And we will be spared your visit. You achieved absolutely nothing, not inUS and not abroad, the Nobel Prize committe should seriously think about claiming back the immaturfe Prize they granted him in advance for.....what? For being a good rhetor? For being the Dancing Star of the White House?
20. To Nr. 4 I am sorry to dissapoint YOU!
Mira ,   Vienna   (07.24.12)
the money was NOT granted by the president, but by the Congress, where he does not hold a majority. Believe me, he would have stopped it if he could!
21. Comes or not must be irrelevant.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (07.24.12)
After 64 years of independence Israel must be a free country at last. The US - Israel relations nowadays like a grandfather-grandson's one. "- Please dad, may I go to play for an hour ? - No, you must dinner, and after go to sleep !" This must be changed at last !
22. As if Israel needs an arrogant anti-Semetic muslum visitor.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.24.12)
23. The Messiah might come?
tiki ,   belgium   (07.24.12)
So, let's hope he doesn't have to live up to his 'warning, I mean promise with the help of sensible American voters.
24. G-d forbid!
Haim ,   Milwaukee, WI, USA   (07.24.12)
25. #20
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (07.24.12)
While the Democratic Party is not in the majority in the House of Representatives, but is in the Senate, the issue of Israeli aid and support is generally a non-partisan issue.Obama's support of Israel is extremely strong and reflects his own feelings as well as the will of Congress.
26. I hope...
BK ,   USA   (07.24.12)
that's one trip he'll make flying on El Al and NOT AF One.

Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (07.24.12)
Your strong ant-Israel bias seems to overcome your knowledge(if any) of the strong relationship between the US and the Jewish State. The US has never grovelled before Israel or had its foreign policy "subverted" by Israel or its supporters. No American soldier has lost his/her life in the defense of Israel.Indeed, as a favor to the US and its coalition during the 1991 Gulf war, Israel did not defend itself by retaliating against Iraqi missile attacks.What... do I hear an apology?

Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (07.24.12)
While Obama as president is subject to criticism, which goes without saying, callig him "an arrogant anti-Semetic(sic) muslum(sic)" is not only a perversion of the truth, but includes incorrect spelling.Have a pleasant day.
