1. Israel's top diplomat is at it again
RM ,   Amsterdam NL   (07.24.12)
I am sure his comments will come down well with the Turks. Let him be fm a few more years and Israel will have no friends left...he'll have insulted them all
2. The Palmer report said Gaza blockade was legal & IDF were
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (07.24.12)
allowed to defend themselves. The martyrdom seeking jihadists on the Mavi Marmaru were attacking the IDF with lethal force, they came looking for a fight and singing songs about the return of the army of Muhamad PBU"H & past Moslem massacres of Jews. This was a test of strenth by Erdogan to show who was boss.

5. Liberman is correct. To be head honcho in the Moslem world
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (07.24.12)
you have to have proven anti Israel credentials, better than all the other head honcho wannabees. The neo Ottomans see themselves as the natural leaders of the ME and further. They also have a problem with Israelis having energy resources.

Mira ,   Vienna   (07.24.12)
you don't need enemies at all. He decide long before the accident to severe ties with Israel just to please the Arabs and make sure he would get a "leading role" in ME, as his devouted FM Davutoglu pit it. Turkey might neede Israel much more soon than the other way around!

Miron ,   USA   (07.24.12)
Israel acted in self defence, Turks were forced into hostilities with Israel by their unwise leader, but the one who staged it is sitting on the fence and gloating at two unfortunate neighbors raising flames of hatred and future bloodshed. His favorite party coctail. Mr. Lieberman is very wise to talk his way into the questions. But in this type of situations silence is golden.
12. No other country in the world worked harder

14. If the Marmara hadn't been attacked in......
Robert ,   Australia   (07.24.12)
......international waters it would have been legal. It was however, an act of piracy and consequently Israel should be condemned for the killings.

Yes Israel has the right of Egyptian gas, because the Jews found the gas not the Egyptian.

No that would be Israel thanks to our very rightwing government and extremely pro-Israel fm Uri Rosenthal. ( who is by the way way better and more sophisticated than your Lieberman)

Andrew Brehm ,   Zurich   (07.24.12)
And Israel desperately needs friends that support her enemies, right?
21. #14 Stop being naive
Israel ,   Ash   (07.24.12)
its simple' if you know the course of the ship' and you know it will break your borders you dont have to wait for it to cross, only if you KNOW. And everyone knew what their course was right? Lets say that you know that im gonna break into your house (and everyone else as well for some reason, just to make the case similar) Will you wait for me to break to your house and then you'll act, or you will do something about that before i do? this is the international law' and it doesnt matter if it was on our water or on internatinal ones as long as you know the intentions. enough with the whining of international waters, it was legal it was legal, and if some of them were able to kill our soldiers i guess you would sit in quiet, but no, suprisingly our soldiers also has a right to defend themsleves, whether you like it or not
22. ben.For decades the Armenian genocide postered in Jerusalem
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (07.24.12)
Israel on the wall of the Armenian quarter in full detail, including maps, pictures, dates. Very public for anybody who does not walk with his eyes shut.
23. #14 International waters...
Andrew Brehm ,   Zurich   (07.24.12)
International law says that transports en-route to one's own territory can legally be stopped in international waters. This has nothing to do with "piracy". The flotilla was illegal as soon as it decided to sail towards waters it was not allowed to enter. Legally, Israel could have sank the flotilla. This is what the Allies did to Japanese and German civilian transports during WW2 in international waters. (That's why navies form convoys for transports, in case you wondered.) As for Turkey, we have supported their occupation of northern Cyprus and northern Kurdistan and their oppression of Kurds and Armenians long enough. When Turkey was Israel's ally, supporting Turkey's criminal activities made sense, in an amoral sense. But now that Turkey is supported an invading flotilla, we should apologise to Cyprus, Kurds and Armenians and remember that oppressors are simply not reliable allies. Apologise to Turkey for defending our borders? Never. But I do apologise to the Kurdish nation for all the support we gave to Turkey during that terrible alliance. It's time to recognise the Armenian genocide as such.
24. Would Turkey apologize if 9 soldiers were lynched?
David ,   Israel   (07.24.12)
You dont need to be a rocket scientist that it was a simple case of life or death for the soldiers - either shooting them or being lynched ! a soldiers guts were hanging out of his body after being stabbed repeatedly and they had a camera down stairs ready to record a kidnapping ransom or a live execution! The fact Israel doesn't make a big enough stink of this is making the Turkish allegations stronger.
25. With the Syrian refugees Turkey
Big bad Jew ,   United States   (07.24.12)
has her hands full. Maybe now turkey can focus more on the arab spring than on the Turkish folly. they began with israel?

(07.24.12)
i agree with you completely. but, israel will not let itself be pushed around by your pm because the un report found israel's blockade to be legal. if your president wants to be the islamic leader of all arabs in mid east, he should not have picked on israel to do so. he was slimy for doing that and it wad a huge provocation on his part. not cool at all. israel has nothing to apologize for. hameed aboughaze, iranian
27. #14
(07.24.12)
the un final report on this matter (the palmer report) doesn't agree with you and said unequivically that israel was within its right to stop this ship in international waters. are you going against the un now? who is a zero like you to even do so? hameed aboughaze, iranian
28. @18
(07.24.12)
fully agree. israel has nothing to loose if turkey is gone.
29. #19 The Palmer report?
Robert ,   Australia   (07.24.12)
The UN is only quoted by Israel when it is convenient to her. The countless UN resolutions breached by Israel are not.
30. a long list of demands? including giving Israel to Arabs
as 54th Moslem state   (07.24.12)
....a long list of demands, including giving Israel to Arabs so that they can acheive the goal of turning it into the 54the Moslem states, and giving Arabs the right to kill all Jews and throw them in the sea as they wished and tried to achieve through several wars that fortunately instead of their success in genocide of Jews and occupation of Israel by Arabs resulted in their loosing of the lands they had stolen from Jews centuries ago during Islamic conquest and occupation of Middle EAst. Why are they not clear in explaining the hidden items of their list ?
