Would those be the same computer networks that Iran proudly proclaimed were isolated from attack and were virus-free? Snicker. I hate to say I told you so, Mahmood, but I told you so. Poor Persian kitty must be gnashing her fangs! There's more coming. Much, much more. Israel owns Iran's computer networks. Stuxnet is old news, anyway -- there's a very large family of cousins that have joined the party.
2. Why does Siemans have to FIX these loopholes?
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (07.26.12)
Can't they just 'ke ilu' (pretend to)

Iran runs Siemens computers. Probably has a contractual obligation. In any event, since it took them two years to isolate STUXNET (by which time STUXNET had morphed into something else), they might not be trying too hard, or Israeli programmers have simply outfoxed them.

I'm waiting for someone to hit them with a worm that varies the speeds of their centrifuges (like musical hard drives) to make them all play Highway to Hell.

Thanks for the image of an Iranian opening his computer and thinking he is going to be Iran's savior by enriching uranium, only to find out the devil paid him a visit and left him with a present.
6. AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" would have been better

In fact, the Finnish specialist told the Iranians that the only thing he can do now is replace the hard rock to Mozart's Requiem.
9. A good,economic countermeasure

I'm not sure about logic,#6's suggestion that 'Highway to Hell' would be a better choice. That might be the Iran regime's route, but the rest of us can try to avoid it. What I find inspiring is that the Iran regime is almost bankrupting Iran in pursuit of its vanity nuclear ambitions and they are being frustrated so easily at such little cost.I like that because it shows that there are alternatives to costly, bloody military actions with uncertain results and outcomes. So my conclusion is that the west can let the Iran regime bankrupt Iran and defeat it without firing a shot or going to great expense. It's still possible to use brain instead of brawn and come out on top using..... "Dirty Deeds,Done Dirt Cheap." THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!

This is yet another perfect example of why Israel won't attack Iran, not physically anyway. I see these viruses, especially one that makes itself known by playing a song, as warnings. The finale won't be a nuclear strike on Iran by Israeli missiles, but a virus that causes reactors to go super-critical. It could be as simple as disabling coolant systems in the reactors. Whoever is behind the cyber attacks has already demonstrated they have the expertise to do so.
11. I prefer "Hatikvah".

Agreed! I actually submitted a post to that effect, but it wasn't published. Wouldn't that be absolutely fantastic, though? Turn on your computer, and the only thing that happens is that Hatikvah is played, and the only way to make it stop is to yank the plug. Oh, wouldn't that be delightful? It's not exactly a secret anymore -- everyone knows who is responsible for Iran's computer woes. A little incremental reinforcement would be the icing on the cake!

Sarah, the news itself is fabricated.Although the Iranians have had lots of cyber-attacks in the past few months and the inital ones last year, you must remember that Iran was not unaware of these possibilities and have gradually niot only over-come the attack but have developed the art of counter-attack.The fact that the counter attack has not occured stirs you up so far but do remember that once it is launched you may regret posting one-sided news and that may tend to keep you quiet or come up with new excuses. The chess player does not look at the dice he is about to move,Sarah.Be ready for the Iranian retaliation as it is you who have been good enough to teach them the methods and they are rapidly advancing in that area of technology. You had,in the past, commented on their missiles development and I remember too that you compared their technology to N.Koreans outdated missiles,,,,,,,,,,,didn't you?How come the latest report suggest rapid and lethal technology in the hands of the Iranians?? Take it easy as Iran has much more in store than what the Americans know.
