Muslims just not know that terror is not accepted by Islam. Someone like the Mufti has to tell them. Seems to me there are many uninformed people in this religion. "Our" Muftis here in Israel have obviously also different sources, cause they promote suicide bombings.

The international community in the years since 9/11 has failed to agree on a definition of terror because the OIC (Organization of the Islamic Cooperation) insists on adding a loophole for "resistance" to occupation, which would mean the myriad attacks on Israelis and Jews would be permitted. They're also very clever in how they define civilians and "innocents". (Israelis are considered neither.) The Bulgarian Mufti would have been wiser to stand with the targeted Israelis and emphasize the common humanity of Muslims and Jews (as the Bulgarian Muslims of WW II did) rather than falling into the "Muslims are the real victims" trope.

The Bulgarian muslims don't need to justify that all Abrahamic religions (including Islam) condemn terrorism. Anybody who reads the Abrahamic scriptures (including the Quran) and who actually 'understands them' and interprets them 'correctly' know that terrorism is condemned. Also the media can stereotype Islam all it likes. The more they do, the more non-muslims will become inspired to actually want to read or research the Quran themselves and will thereby embark upon their own conclusions about the religion.

The Chief Mufti of Bulgaria has already repeatedly condemned this terror act and has expresses his condolences to the victimes and their families and Israël. One of the victims - Mustafa Kisiov is a Bulgarian Muslim.

#1, Please note - they did in fact condemn it. It was reported in The Sofia Globe. It's understandable what they are saying about Bulgarian Muslims. It's unlikely it was a Bulgarian Muslim, more likely it was from Hezbollah or Iran, and as Jews we wouldn't like to be ostracized or have claims made against us either. But they did condemn it.

Frankly, I'm sick of journalists writing "holy" every time the month of Ramadam, or some previously unknown city in Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan big enough to have a mosque, are mentioned. Why is Ramadan so much holier than Pesach or Lent, and why is not Jerusalem always written "the holy city of Jerusalem?" What city is holier? Let's be fair: if muslims have a holy season, certainly Jews and Christians do as well, especially considering both religions are considerably older than Islam.

What he really means by saying that "there is no terror in religion" is that whatever Muslims do following their religion is not terror. If Koran states " murder all unbelievers " than doing so is not terror. By this definition, none of the thousands of murderous attacks by the followers of religion of peaces is terror. The first part of his statement "terror has no religion" is just an exercise in taqqyia - permitted lies to unbelievers- so that we, the unbelievers, will get confused over this twisted logic and hesitate to properly react. You have just confirmed my first comment about misinterpretation of religious scriptures. The reality is both Ishmaelites (Arabs) and Israelites (Jews) are Semitic by blood, culture, and linguistics. Islam is an Abrahamic religion because it is based on Monotheism and muslims worship the same God Abraham worshipped the only difference being they refer to him using the Arabic word for god 'Allah' instead of the hebrew words 'Elohim' or 'Jehovah'. Jews, Muslims, and Christians focus on the submission to the god Abraham worshipped hence why Judaism, Christianity and Islam are often called Abrahamic religions.
