What happened to the people of Gush Katif was a crime. Appeasement didn't work, Gush Katif is left in ruins, terrorists use it as a launch point, and the Jews that lived there are still suffering from the "evacuation". Curse all those Jews who forced other Jews off of their rightful land in order to gain political favor. They've invited destruction to our land just as the infighting Maccabees did.
2. This big red stain on secular israel will remain forever

Avi ,   Israel   (07.26.12)
Remove a Haredi from J-lem, Bnei Beraq or Brooklyn and his commitment to religion will not change. The more attached to materia a person is the more difficult the blast becomes when it's taken away. Get over it.
4. Israeli Goverment will have a 2nd chance
Frank ,   Switzerland   (07.26.12)
This went really wrong when they evacuatet them from Gaza and didnt give them proper homes. The Israeli Government will have a second chance to do it properly when they evacuate EVERY SINGLE SETTLER from the right side of the green line.
5. #4 - Do you realise how many people that includes?
Henry from New York ,   Currently in Israel   (07.26.12)
There were about 7.000 people evacuated from Gaza. There are well over 500.000 people over the Green Line. Can you imagine what would go into evacuating, relocating and reabsorbing half a million people like that?
6. Compensate victims & end Israeli retreat forever.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.26.12)
More than 10,000 patriotic Jews were deported from their homes in Gaza. What did Israel get in return? Tens of thousands of rockets, a major war (with more likely), and constant terror. All these horrors, and many more, are direct results of Israel's lunatic retreat from Gaza. All of Israel's retreats are total disasters. Let's end the sickness once and for all. Compensate the victims and commit to ending Israeli retreat forever.

Many of the people who supported Gush Katif and were against Sharon were secular. That is why he left the Likud and made Kadima. At the same time, Sharon could never have destroyed Gush Katif without Haredim/Shas who took money from Sharon to support the hitnatkut (including desecration of graves and destruction of synagogues). The Leftists did it because of ideology, the Haredim did it for money. Who is worse?
8. bad people rulling the world
anita ,   finland   (07.26.12)
it do not seem to bee enough that jews has been pursuited in other countries. But that their own people are pursuing them in the Land what God himsef owns, it is not anyones right to give it away. And then force people out of their homes. My fathers family was force to move by russians and they did not get over it easily.
9. what were the statistics 4 these people before 2005?
terror survivor ,   Israel   (07.27.12)
I mean really...I am a terror survivor and already one year after I had a job and a home. If I can survive terror injuries and the murder of my spouse well then why can't these people find their way? I am asking because to the loss of a spouse and recovery from actual physical injury is a bit more serious than what these people have gone through.

Amongst the highest level of IDF service and close to 100% employment, many as farmers. Do not compare traumas, but remember these were normative people until Sharon sent his forces to beat them and their children, pillage and destroy their property, desecrate the graves of their loved ones. When he finished, Sharon shut them up in refugee camps and set-up a corrupt bureacracy where "mekuravim" made good salaries to jerk the refugees around. When Olmert seized power, he made it even worse, doing his best to make sure than no refugee received his legal compensation.
11. @10 well stated but I have a question
Just Askin' ,   Israel   (07.27.12)
Since when are settlers normative? You mean they are no longer extra-ordinary defenders of the Land? You mean they are only ordinary mortals? So then we can say since they are only ordinary mortals and citizens of the State then they are good to go on following the State's rule of law?
12. #11 excellent questions
(07.27.12)
You ask excellent questions. In Israel "rule of law" is just a meaningless phrase used by the extreme Left to attack their opponents. Examples are endless, but here is a small sample. When Sharon followed the Likud constitution, Edna Arbel asked why Gilad would get 40000 NIS just to surf the net unless it was bribe. A week later, Sharon agreed to destroy Gush Katif and everyone forgot about Gilad's surfing. Next, look up the difference between "Mamak rosh hamemshala" and "Sgan rosh hamemshala", and then tell me why Mazuz appointed Honest Olmert to be PM instead of Netanyahu. Last, have a look at videos of Olmert's Amona action. Why is it police investigators, the AG and the courts did not prosecute any violent policemen? Why is it that brutal police were punished only through civil lawsuits brought by human rights organizations based on the little video evidence that the police did not manage to steal or destroy? Once you have answered these questions, we can look at facts to see that the "settlers" are the most law-abiding sector in Israel, certainly more than the police or politicians. But you know that, don't you?
