Sad to say, I doubt that day will ever come.. Can anyone imagine Israel overrun with Olympic fans while insisting they're al anti-Semitis... TATA

im guessing that there was no moment of silence because i watched the whole ceremony and no one seemed to even mention israel and im pretty sure that the BBC wont show any of it anyway. Oh well better luck at the next olympics lol

once the Israeli delegation entered the stadium, showed pictures of the slain sportsmen at Munich, the names were read out and then 30 seconds silence before returning to the arena. I found that very admirable, but obviously didnt see if anyone in the arena stood silent. I did turn the sound down when Jacque Rogge spoke. Apart from the I think Danny Boyle did the UK proud, loved the idea of the kids lighting the flame. GOOD LUCK TEAM ISRAEL!!!!

I was surprised to hear the BBC commentator mention the anniversary of the Munich massacre sympathetically when the Israeli team came out.
