2. Return the Golan?
shrinkDave ,   miami usa   (07.29.12)
If you think that what Syrians are doing to Syrians is genocide and massacre, imagine what Syrians would do to Israelis. Any thought of returning the Golan should be put to rest. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Might as well be alive and damned.
3. What does it matter?
shmulke ,   w coast USA   (07.29.12)
Both the Syrian gov't and the rebels hate Israel and want it destroyed. Better they destroy each other. I only feel badly for the innocent Syrian men, women and children caught up in this all-too-typical Arab brutality.
4. Druze saying=An apple a day keeps Dr Assad away

5. If those living in peace in Israel want to be Syrian
Jorge   (07.29.12)
Send them there, to join the fighting, and if they want to remain Syrians, let their dream come true, send them to Syria, and good ridance
6. INCREDIBLE VOCABULARY ....

Israel C A P T U R E D the Golan Heights from Syria... Israel has O F F E R E D to exchange the territory for full peace. Lenine would qualify the Israeli leadership as "useful idiots". They do not even realize that the Golan Heights never were part of Syrian Real Estate, but part of the Jewish National Home, as decided by the League of Nations in 1922, a decision that became International Law, breached in a scandalous way by the British Mandatory, in an exchange for Mossul and its oil fields, with the French Mandatory of Syria. The "US Center for Security Policy" that specializes in the rapid preparation of information, analyses and policy recommendations for the US security policy-making community (the executive and legislative branches) prepared a report about the Golan Heights.I just quote one sentence: " A Mandate is a Trust, according to ART. 80 of the UN Charter Israel's decision (my remark: by Menahem Begin) to impose its Laws on the Golan Heights on December 14, 1981, had eventually, RIGHTED the WRONG that was committed by the British in March 1923". 7. The Last Sentence Says It ALL !
Edward Darren ,   Muncie, Ohio   (07.29.12)
The Golani Druze driver admits life is good under Israeli rule over the Golan. Arabs, whether Druze, Sunni, Christian, Shi'ite, et al. have a profoundly better life in Israel with freedom & the ability to accomplish what they want in life."I've lived a respectful life here," he said. "I was born under occupation. I'm not sure if Syrian rule would be better or not." Obviously NOT!
