1. he's just campaign stumpin'
Just Sayin' ,   Israel   (07.29.12)
he needs to have a few pix in foreign countries to prove that he'll be able to handle the diplomatic side of the POTUS business. Truth be told he ain't gonna win...he should have chosen a more fortuitous date for his visit.
2. Couple of points: Jerusalem is part of Palestine;
American Vet   (07.29.12)
Romeny lost my vote: it seems reasonable to expect israel "to follow through on its commitments, such as to halt building of housing settlements in the West Bank." would be a novel response for israel. Geneva convention, UN resolution, promise mean nothing to them.
3. Amazing how election creates a$$ kissers...
(07.29.12)
4. Yawn......
Shoshana Rubin   (07.29.12)
All US presidential candidates say the same thing so even though I like Romney and won't vote again for Obama, we shall see.
5. Romney would be a good friend to Israe
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (07.29.12)
Words do matter. Stating Jerusalem is Israel's capital is an important statement. Obama has gone back on his words that Jerusalem must remain undivided. His administration has since even refused to acknowledge Jerusalem is Israel's capital stating "it's final status must be resolved in negotiations". Only east Jerusalem is disputed, not the entire city.
6. Romney vs. Obama
Lacy ,   USA   (07.29.12)
Romney is unabashedly for Israel, unlike Obama who bashes Israel both publicly and behind supposed closed doors (but with microphone still on), only later to offer tepid support in an effort to get Israeli votes and campaign donations. Summary: Romney loves Israelis and Obama is a hypocrite who cannot be trusted. Yes, Jerusalem IS Israel and should never be bargained away.
7. Real American Vet
max ,   washington dc   (07.29.12)
Romney has my vote along with millions of other American Veterans who recognize Jerusalem as the Historic and Modern Day Undivided Capital of Israel. Some do not recognize this reality - too bad!
8. IF WORDS ARE NOT REALITY THEY ARE LIES
PHARAOH   (07.29.12)
9. Mr. Obama: What is Israel's capital city...??!!
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.29.12)
10. nonsense
postroad ,   USA   (07.29.12)
to sayh Mitt is for Israel is ok but then to knock Obama is silly. More aid has gone to Israel under Obama than ever before.
11. Response to Post #2 and his lies
Dan Kelso   (07.29.12)
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/126403 Israeli on Arab TV: J'lem Was Ours When Moslems Worshipped Idols A Bar Ilan Univ. researcher told Al Jazeera, "Jews were in Jerusalem while Muslims were drinking wine; we don’t need your permission to build." Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu 6/4/2008
12. To nr 2 - What "Palestine" are you talking about?
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.29.12)
And what "occupation" are you talking about? Occupation according to International Law means that State A has conquered State B as a result of war. No "Palestinian" state existed in 1967, 1949, 1948, 1947, or 100, 200, 500, 1000, 5000, 10.000 or 100.000 years ago. You use the invented "Palestinian" people as an excuse to hate and destroy Israel. You care nothing for the "Palestinians". 1) Why is "Palestine" a Roman/Latin name? 2) Why is there no letter "p" in Arabic? 3) Nationalism is alien to Arabs who have, for 1400 years, lived as nomads and Beduins in multi-ethnic and multi-racial "Arab" empires whose majority population - locals, subjects, soldiers, mercenaries, scientists, mathematicians, physicians and merchants, were no ethnic Arabs, merely Arab speaking Persians, Kurds, Turks, Jews, Berbers and Africans. Why is that? 4) There is no "Palestine" in the Bible or the Koran. Why? 5) The Bible and the Koran BOTH admit that Israel is the Jewish homeland. How come? 6) Jewish/Israelite history started 2000 B.C.E in Israel - 4000 years ago. Arab history of the original Arabians, started in the 7th century C.E. 1400 years ago, in the southwestern corner of the Arabian peninsula, hundreds of kilometers away from Israel, 2600 years AFTER the start of Jewish civilization. How can Arabs be the "natives" of Israel? 7) Most Arabs arrived in Israel as recently as the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. How is that ancient history and how does that make "Palestinians" the "natives"? 8) When and where exactly did a "Palestinian" state, republic, nation state, kingdom, city state, duchy, principality or empire exist in recorded history, what are the names of kings and dynasties, cities, towns, villages and currency and why is there not a single ancient civilization mentioning anywhere any "Palestinian" state, civilization, nation or people? "Palestinians" are as native to Israel as Europeans are to North America. Israel is not violating any Geneva Convention. The 4th Geneva Convention says explicitly that it is forbidden for a state entity to force its countrymen to immigrate into the territory of the conquered state. "Palestine" is no state and Jews move FREELY into ancient Jewish land - Judea and Samaria. UN resolutions are non binding recommendations. ICJ deals with states only and states need to agree with the rulings of ICJ to make ICJ's rulings binding. "Palestine" is no state and Israel doesn't agree. The San Remo treaty of 1920 says that Cis-Jordan, Trans-Jordan and southern Lebanon would be the Jewish state. Now get yourself an education my dear "vet" and mind your own business.
13. Go Romney!
Joe ,   East Coaster   (07.29.12)
14. ROMNEY - ME AND ALL MY FRIENDS WILL VOTE FOR YOU
Rachel ,   USA   (07.29.12)
15. mishkanot Shananim - charming!
bob ,   Brooklyn   (07.29.12)
Not exactly a struggling border kibbutz or development town but a perfect setting for one percenters protecting their hedge fund, casino and venture capital ideology and earnings. No flip flop in regard to Mit the twit's image there!
16. Romnet Support
DEB ,   Wash DC   (07.29.12)
To # 1,2,3,4 - You look like liberal US Dem's, sucking up to Obama. If you care for Israel you sure better pray that Romney wins the election! Can someone explain why US jews support him tho he clearly supports muslims?
17. AmericanVet supported IOC not remembering Munich massacre
Ken Jurist   (07.29.12)
AmericanVet wrote before on here that the IOC was right not to have a moment of silence at the London Olympics for the 11 Israeli Olympic Athletes and coaches brutally murdered in 72. Let me put it like this, If it would have been any other country there would have been a whole presentation including photos and moving music!!!!
18. A week is a long time in politics...
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (07.29.12)
If as they say a week is a long time in politics, then the 100 days until the first Tuesday in November is an eternity. Much can happen before then in the form of vision, courage and trust building on the international stage to avoid a terrible regional war involving Iran and Israel/The USA etc. President Obama has a key role to play.
19. #2, SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.29.12)
20. #12 no wonder why EU hates Jews
(07.29.12)
People like you make me puke
21. #1. Just: If he loses, get your Polish passp.
Tom W ,   USA   (07.29.12)
If the Obamabot's leftist Jews wishes come true you'd better get your old passport back because Israel will be no more. Your Kenyan messiah will re-tailor Israel borders, will bring closer his Muslims co-religionists and the Gaza rocket factory will have new targets. Israel will be destroyed but you can sing the Kenyan's praise.
22. #12
ME ,   USA   (07.29.12)
The same Palestine that has Olympic athletes going for the gold in London. Like it or not it`s still there. It`s just been split in half, that`s all(israel and Palestine).
23. 12 - Save your breath, pal ,...
split ,   US   (07.29.12)
"5) The Bible and the Koran BOTH admit that Israel is the Jewish homeland" ,... Of course your fairy tales ... ooops the Bible proves it beyond any doubt right? You fairy tales also says that the universe is 6000 years old ,... Google "The Birth of Religion" and read about Göbekli Tepe a temple as twice as old as your fairy tale's universe and there goes your credibility ,...
24. # 12...You're all wrong on all counts...give it up...you'll
Edithann ,   USA   (07.29.12)
never get anyone to accept those old bought and paid for canards Jews have been springing on the world for centuries......... I suggest you get yourself an education...we're not living in the 1880's, 1917's and certainly not in the 1920"s...We're living with the remnants of the debacle of 1948... Deal with it! As it's the only one you've got... TATA
25. To #12, Alexander
Bertram ,   London, UK   (07.29.12)
Since you have argued at length, and on numerous occasions, that there is no occupation maybe you would do better to bring your case before the Israel Supreme Court who stated in 2005: "The Judea and Samaria areas are held by the State of Israel in belligerent occupation".
26. Sure Mitt, whatever you say. What is your job or position...
Persian CAT   (07.29.12)
right now, exactly???
27. #6
sealift67 ,   northern calif   (07.29.12)
"Unabashedly" for Israel? Or for himself. Prior to this campaign what has he done to favor Israel? What organizations has he supported or spoken to, and don't say well he was just a governor. Romney will say whatever he finds expedient, Obama, except for keeping the F-22 "U.S only" has been solid. Romney to boot is a warmonger, ready to send a war weary and depleted world to the field while he lives the good life. Obama is ready for war, there are joint contingency plans, yet he understands the costs. I speak as a middle east vet '67.
28. #24 You're all wrong on all counts....
ltrail ,   United States   (07.29.12)
Even non-Jews, like myself, believes those old "bought and paid for canards" from the Bible; which were sprung upon us all not for centuries, but for milleniums. We're living not in the remnants of the debacle of 1948, rather the beginning resurrection of the Jewish life (the Return to their Homeland). I suggest that you get yourself a Biblical education now, in 2012, 'cause you're going to need the tools of the Bible to live.
29. Just Wait Until He Becomes President
Lord Sandwich ,   Europe   (07.30.12)
I don't think there is a politician in the world who doesn't pull back from most of their positions as soon as they are elected. I can't see Romney (who already has a reputation of being ideologically flexible) being any different.
30. Bertram, the tiny problem
(07.30.12)
is that he was a totally unrepresentative rogue judge Aharon Barak who illegitimately said this rubbish.
