Promises to move the embassy & that Jerusalem is Israel's capital we have heard many times before. It during the Clinton presidency that Congress said the embassy should be moved to Jerusalem but throughout the Clinton era, 8 years of Bush ( probably the most pro Israel president ever ) and 4 years of Obama and the president keeps using a veto not to move the embassy on the grounds of national security. During his election campaign Obama visted the Kotel and said Israel should remain Israel's undivided capital. The PA complained and he quickly reversed his statement to the future of Jerusalem should be negotiated between Israel & the palestinians in peace talks. Whilst Romney has not gone back on his statement because the palestinians objected if he wins the election ( which is unlikely ) don't expect him to stick to those promises he made whilst on the campaign trail. The only thing we can be sure of is Obama is against Jerusalem staying Israel's capital.
