and the Druze, not the Golan Druze, are very fierce fights with a bone to pick with Arab Muslims who have abused them for centuries. The "Palestinians" HATE the Druze because of this, underscoring the need to keep them in the IDF. Bedouin also contribute a great deal to the IDF and the State of Israel, and should never be belittled.

Reply to #4: Most of the Arab Israelis and the Druse Community are loyal to Israel, and recognize that they have a good life in Israel. The entire group cannot be judged by the actions of a few. It is not the Jewish way to be anti-Arab.

I have served with many Druze and they are some of the very best soldiers in the IDF. It is sad that this one individual decided to commit treason. Since Syria is at war with Israel - he should be hung for his crimes.

Before Israel throws the book at this guy make sure he did it on his own free will. I suspect he would have been threatened with death or his family threatened if he didn't play along. The Syrian regime is evil and would definitely use low tactics to get what they want. I hope the truth is uncovered because my instinct tells me there's more to this story. WHY would this guy spy? There's probably a good reason he did most likely under threat of harm. Just my 2 cents..

Arab-Israelis already have the opportunity to serve in the IDF on a voluntary basis.Indeed, three Arab-Israelis are generals, and many are officers. G-D bless all of them and the rest of the IDF.
