1. So an attack on Iran in 12 weeks
Sarah B (No not her)   (08.02.12)
and now a call to evacuate The Sinai because of a possible terrorism threat. Further confirmation Netanyahu is slipping in the polls and is trying to do the 'I'm the only person who can protect you thing' I would ignore it if I was you, nothing ever comes of it, Netanyahu is fearmongering to try to divert our attention from the social unrest, people setting themselves on fire, and the financial quaqmire he as created to pay for the haredi to read a book, that many Israelis do on a weekend, very successfully, whilst holding down a job.
2. The only way to make people internalize this warning
William ,   Israel   (08.02.12)
is tell them if they get abducted the Israeli govt will NOT work for their release. Reckless people travel without thought believing no matter what, the Israeli govt will come and save them at the expense of everyone else. The ultimate selfish attitude.

Really William even if our brethren are reckless, selfish and stupid the essence of Israeliness is that we will always go and fetch them out of whatever mess they have gotten themselves into.

14. #9 Your an idiot for believing this crap
Sarah B (No not her)   (08.02.12)
There is no terrorist threat. netanyahu needs to move the news cycle away from people burning themselves to death, a budget that is a nightmare for Israel's middle classes, record electricity prices, a social protests which has been very effective. And widespread disgust at the freebie lifestyle the Haredi enjoy at their expense. Usual rules should apply for any Israeli travelling abroad keep your eyes open don't go into dark alleys, and don't fly the Israeli flag from your balcony, and if you can travel on that second passport. But whatever you do don't spend your life being scared because the Prime minister's popularity ratings have taken a dive.
15. I loved Sinai.
shrinkDave ,   Miami usa   (08.03.12)
In the 1970's I spent a great deal of time wandering around the Sinai; it was the most serene most beautiful place in the world. There were no people, except from very friendly Bedouin. The Egyptians took over and threw grenades into the water to catch fish. The bedouin became abused and turned to crime. Another piece of heaven destroyed by our cousins.
16. Hello Arab spring.Sinai a free fire zone for Islamofascits
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (08.03.12)
drug dealers, arms smugglers, slave traders and other assorted" peace lovers" whom the UN HRC chooses to ignore and useful to defend.

And the Brotherhood didn't just win the presidency of Egypt. Personally, I think you should do all of us a favor and leave immediately for Sinai to test your new theory out.
18. warnings or not I still go
marko ,   tel aviv   (08.03.12)
No matter what the goverment propaganda says I still go to the Sinai at least once a month I feel totally safe.

Sarah B (No not her)   (08.03.12)
Just got back actually Was treated wonderfully. The Egyptians are a lovely group of people Meanwhile havin woken up this morning to watch the limpics, I see there are no reports of terrorist attacks in the Sinai As I said, there is no threat, it is netanyahu attempting to move the news cycle away from what I have previously said. You can either live your life in fear, or you can live your life, which are you going to do?
20. Israel should have complete control over the Sinai
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (08.03.12)
The phrase, BUILD BABY BUILD" definitely applies here. Israel cannot afford the luxury of any unprotected, undeveloped, land due to the constant attacks by the pals and their myriad splinter groups
21. What, nothing about Tsipi?
Yanni   (08.03.12)
What about articles about Attila's beloved Tsipi?
22. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.12)
Has anyone ever told you that you are an inveterate asshole? Well, if not, I claim first place. You are a complete asshole, who has evidenced a remarkable absence of knowledge with respect to Israel. Just shut up, moron. Change your name, too. At least until you go back and get your O-levels, okay? You are so uneducated, it is pathetic. I very generously offer to help you with grammar (something remarkably absent from your posts). Did you drop out of school in the fifth form, darling?
23. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.12)
YOU are the consummate idiot. You are living in a fool's paradise if you do not see the insistent and very real threat posed by Israel's neighbors. And -- well, this will come as quite a shock -- it has absolutely nothing to do with Prime Minister Netanyahu's popularity rating. However, I invite you to put your thesis to the test. Since you claim there is no terrorist threat, why not take a short gambol into the Sinai, and skip towards the nearest resort? Or take a quick little trip to Jenin. Ramallah. Schehem. Don't forget to put your affairs in order first -- always a wise course, even if you do not think that there are no terrorist threats. If you were any more dumb, you'd need to be watered twice a week.
24. Sarah B (No not her)
Sarah B (Yes its me) ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.12)
I owe you an apology Sarah. The troll is at it again. Posts No. 22 and 23 are NOT MINE...
25. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.03.12)
So the 106 countries that have issued travel advisories with respect to the Sinai are all, as you say, "full of it?" I guess that would include your own country, which has issued a very strong travel advisory regarding Egypt generally, including a mention that, with respect to the Sinai, only Sharm El Sheikh is reasonably safe (but not entirely) but that travelers should fly there directly, and not transit through Cairo, and to be on high alert because of the high incidence of lawlessness and a noticeable absence of a police presence.
26. The post at No. 24 is not mine
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.04.12)
I know when to use "its" and when to use "it's." I also know enough to write "Post Nos." not "Posts No." Clearly, both appear to have eluded the troll's grasp. Most people learn that aspect of English language usage in the first grade. The troll probably never graduated from kindergarten -- his/her behavior is extraordinarily infantile, so it really isn't all that surprising.
27. Re: My post at No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.04.12)
Third paragraph, second line should read "even if you do think ...." Apologies to all.
28. #10 -I know we always will but we don't have to say it
William ,   Israel   (08.04.12)
Honestly, such selfishness just puts the entire nation at risk, and through our benevolence as Jews, we end up feeding this narcissistic trend with kids who have such a lofty sense of entitlement they want the world handed to them on a silver platter with no effort.
29. #5 - go ask the bedouins who live in the Sinai
William ,   Israel   (08.04.12)
When Israel rolled into town, tey built roads, schools, and infrastructure. When Sinai was given to Egypt for peace, the entire Bedouin community was neglected, as was the roads and infrastructure in place, and the focus was put on Cairo, making the Sinai a backwater. Which is why the distrust the Cairo govt and make their own laws there. That's not a secret to anyone but you.
30. #14 - only one way to find out
William ,   Israel   (08.04.12)
enjoy your trip to Nuwebeh.
