2. No, they don't want to achieve an accommodation of peaceful
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.04.12)
coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world, local and regional alike, and the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people. If they did, they would, now, accept Israel's right to be, to exist as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people; and, in addition, would commit themselves to the idea that a peace treaty will be considered the end of the conflict and the end of all future demands. Their categorical objection to the above and their turning to the UN - contrary to both international law and to the agreements which they have reached so far with Israel - instead of approaching the negotiating table to talk peace without preconditions is indicative of the true nature of the PLO leaders whose commitment to the thrust of the PLO's Charter - Israel's demise - is dearer to them more than anything else!!

Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.04.12)
They can have their state - just not on our land. The UN does not have the authority to give them even one millimeter of our land
6. it would be interesting ...
Mary   (08.04.12)
to see some decisions by the International Criminal Court about your claim that's "your" land or that's your right to behave in the way "You" (the state of Israel) does. I don't think that they will read only Talmud and Bible to make their judgements.
7. Obama will impose '67 borders on Israel, end settlements
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.04.12)
...and if Israel does not cooperate, the UN will sanction Israel like Iran, and Obama will not Veto it. This will be the beginning of Palestine Israel, 2 States, 1 Country.
8. Israel also can play this game
Ezer   (08.04.12)
It is time Israel makes unilateral moves as well.
9. The UN will impose pre-1776 borders on Minnesota
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.04.12)
...and if Steve Benassi does not cooperate the UN will simply send him packing back to Europe where he came from before he squatted on stolen Sioux. Anishinaabe and Dakota lands. It will be the beginning of the end of Silver Bay, MN, which will revert to native American rule. Benassi will have to pay reparations and compensation for his years of squatting illegally on stolen land.

the international law, moron, not only the Bible. Read farther and educate yourself, you can do it.
11. #10 If it's true
Mary   (08.04.12)
then Israel should allow the US to abstain from vetoing the state bidhood of the palestinian people and should ask the ICC for decisions about its practices such as two different law systems for settlers and for Palestinians in the Westbank.

You should be a stand up comedian. With any luck, come November Obama won't be around to veto or not veto anything.

Even the native Americans would not want that run-down, lower-middle-class Marks Drive in MN.

In an election year? Are you crazy, or just stupid? No one is imposing ANYTHING on Israel. You still don't get it, do you? Besides, what's to stop Israel from annexing Judea and Samaria? Closely followed by repatriating its Jordanian citizens to Jordan? They can rename Jordan whatever they'd like. The United Nations is a joke and a sham organization. It's not as if they have any legitimacy. Time to disband the whole lot, and build something better in its place. Hopefully, not in New York. New Delhi would be about right.

M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.05.12)
Why New Delhi? I think the capital of a third-world country would be more appropriate... such as, say, Kampala or Kabul... someplace where there's no designer shopping for the delegates and few cultural amentities... so that the delegates would go there in order to do what the UN was originally intended to do.
18. #7 NO US president will impose anything on Israel
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.05.12)
When Bibi was before the US House/Senate he got more standing ovations that obumma got to date in all his speeches. obumma couldn't impose a kosher steak sandwich on Bibi, so dream on and please try to be more creative.
19. |#12 "You should be a stand up comedian."

He would never make it. His comments (jokes?) are repititious, boring, delusional and definitley not funny. Sanitary engineer might be more suited for Benazzi.

Kabul. I definitely like the idea of Kabul. Damascus is running a close second.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.05.12)
It would be interesting to see you acquire a brain. Judea and Samaria reverted to Israel in the course of fighting a DEFENSIVE war against Jordan. The land is Israel's to settle, retain and even annex. That's exactly what will happen. And once the State of Israel annexes Judea and Samaria, all of its illegal Arab occupants will be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship. That's international law, dear. Carefully set forth in the Hague Conventions. The Bible and the Talmud have nothing to do with it. You are a fool.
22. #21 thanks for naming and insulting me, but
Mary   (08.05.12)
I'm also happy that You agree, that an ICC ruling over some special issues to israel would be interesting. 40 years occupation and many wars are stuff enough for the ICC.
23. Palestinians Seeking Non-member Observer Status
ltrail ,   United States   (08.06.12)
No way do the Palestinians deserve any upgrade of UN Status that is comparable to Status that the Vatican has. The Palestinians are not a nation, nor do they own territory as a group. Unlike the Vatican, the Palestinians have not helped the world's peoples in any way, shape, or form. Instead, they have killed and maimed civilians with rockets from Gaza, and with suicide bombs on buses. The Palestinians are land-grabbers and resource-grabbers. No. The Palestinians are not worthy to be given UN Non-member Observer Status. They actually ought to be booted from the UN.
24. #7 Obama.....
ltrail ,   United States   (08.06.12)
Thank God that the USofA has not only the Executive Branch, but it has the House of Representatives and the Senate. One man does not the party make. In November, that one man just may become a party-pooper.
