1. israelis to have no peace as long as Palestine is not Free
Palestinian   (08.05.12)
2. No, they don't want to achieve an accommodation of peaceful
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.05.12)
coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world, local and regional alike, and the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people. If they did, they would, now, accept Israel's right to be, to exist as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people; and, in addition, would commit themselves to the idea that a peace treaty will be considered the end of the conflict and the end of all future demands. Their categorical objection to the above and their turning to the UN - contrary to both international law and to the agreements which they have reached so far with Israel - instead of approaching the negotiating table to talk peace without preconditions is indicative of the true nature of the PLO leaders whose commitment to the thrust of the PLO's Charter - Israel's demise - is dearer to them more than anything else!!
3. Wow, they might actually get to be "observers" !!
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.05.12)
4. The only thing different about this September
A ,   Belgium   (08.05.12)
will be the year. The "palestinians" themselves say an independent state is economically not feasible. So which 180 countries are they counting on to swallow their lies? No state of "palestine", never was and never will be.
5. @ #1, Palestinian
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.05.12)
Even your own "leaders" admit that an independent state isn't economically viable at this time. Be careful what you wish for, because with statehood, all relief money will dry up, UNWRA will pack its bags and disappear, "Palestinians" will be jobless, homeless, hungry and poor with no one left to mooch off of.
6. Insanity, "pal" charter has death to Israel, wants to be a
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.05.12)
member of the UN, total insanity.
7. 1 is spain next on the list?
(08.05.12)
8. #1 Actually sir, the status quo is not so bad
(08.05.12)
and since Palestine will never be free, it's not a bad trade-off.
9. I dearly hope
Mira ,   Vienna   (08.05.12)
that Abbas will bring the palestinian Charta and his thesis with him and read it out loudly. If not the Israeli envoy should do it! Hope they are smart enough!
10. PA this September
sara ,   jerusalem   (08.05.12)
It is way past time to disband the UN! They are being controlled by the Islamic bloc. How about pouring all those billions of dollars into something useful for a change?
11. Obama will not Veto '67 borders at UN in his second term
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.05.12)
...which will leave 500K settlers on the wrong side of the border. The settlers will become citizens of Palestine, or the Palestinians will become citizens of Israel, effectively creating Palestine Israel.
12. ANYTHING but face to face negotiations
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (08.05.12)
Sounds like another pointless PA PR exercise Yet the recent PA-Israel economic/trade agreement which is pivotal to peace is FAR FAR more important to both the PA Israel Jordan and the region than any theatricals in the UN THAT is where and how progress is being made...from the bottom up because though its Politicians who will negotiate a peace agreement its the PEOPLE who make peace that peace agreement to WORK
13. #11. OR...
A ,   Belgium   (08.05.12)
Israel will formally annex Judea and Samaria ,its part of Israel anyway, since no "palestinian" state ever existed there. Arab residents will be offered Israeli citizenship, including taking a "vow of allegiance" to Israel. If they refuse, Abdallah, king of "palestine", can take care of them. Preferably, in the same manner as his father. The settlers are on the RIGHT side of the border, Benazzi, up to the Jordan River. The illegal arab squatters, however, might have a problem, since nobody wants their sorry arses in their countries anyway. Maybe Silver Bay would want to take them in, you all are illegal squatters on Native American land anyway.
14. Wishful thinking Stevie boy!
Jake   (09.11.12)
