"Tel Avivians have more fun, ranks ISRAEL'S CAPITAL amongst world's top 10 most vibrant cities in nightlife category, calling it 'Miami of Middle East'" I didn't realise Jerusalem was no longer the capital...
2. Lonely Planet used to be vehemently anti-Semitic
Dan ,   USA   (08.06.12)
and anti-Israel. To some degree it probably still is. They employed a few token Jews and that is how from their twisted perspective they thought they "absolved" themselves from responsible writing. Normally, anti-Semitism is a fixed condition. It is doubtful LP has really changed.
3. Sodom Was A Party City Too
World Citizen ,   the world   (08.06.12)
I'm not saying that partying is wicked or evil. What I am saying is that societies in decline tend to mask their denial, fear, anger, and paranoid tendencies in actions that help them forget what the future may bring. Think bread and circuses before the fall of the Roman Empire. Think the Super Bowl and credit-card binge spending in the USA. Maybe Israelis like to party because they know the party is ending?

you must be joking or an absolute ignorant person. israel is one of the best economies in the world and in the oecd. while the eu and the usa are failing economically, israel attained 17th best economy in the world with no inflation, very little unemployment and an average earning per person of $24,000. compare that to any mid east country, you can see how ridiculous and delusional your comment is. israel is known as the hub and leader in rd, scientific and medical technology, biomedical rd's, the second most rd companies on the n.y. stock exchange and nasdaq, one of the the world leaders in scientific nobel prizes per capita in just 63 years, one of the best economies presently and growing by 6-8 % yearly. so, you must be a joker or a complete moron. if lies and delusions seem to give you some comfort, we won't deny you this privilege. but, please, don't show your stupidity here. it's a shame that you spit out this post and prove how ignorant you are. pity. better keep quiet and hide your ignorance. hameed aboughaze, iranian
5. 3 Don t worry,partying liberates...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.07.12)
from big tensions.Better than to sleep and dream that everything is best in the best of the worlds. Israelis are alert, fit and well prepared to win the war if attacked, with G-Ds help.
6. BBC pay attention:
EZ   (08.07.12)
"“If Jerusalem is Israel’s historic, classical capital..." Apparently, Lonely Planet has Israel's capital figured out. You should too.
7. I'm for it, but do you remember "Cabaret"? Berlin ca.1937?
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.07.12)
Nothing vanishes faster than "pleasure" of the carnal kind.... On the other hand, what has Jerusalem to offer? "Spirituality" in form of Big Imaginary Friend? Tough choice indeed!

You think you're so smart with your "big imaginary friend" ? The day you wake up and open your eyes, you're gonna feel so stupid my friend, not to have acknowledged the Creator. And you're gonna be so ashamed...
9. Now it´s better!
Keren ,   IL-BR   (08.09.12)
Lonely Planet repented! Good for them!
