(08.10.12)
If Hezbllah uses thermobaric RPG`s against israeli soldiers, will dear Ashton accept that israel should have the right to fight back with......... slingshots ?
3. Never mind that
steve from raleigh   (08.10.12)
Jews live in Israel. Condemn Condemn Condemn. Get to work UN and Hillary Clinton.
4. "new" lethal weapon
yosef ,   williamsburg   (08.10.12)
I am a Marine combat veteran and these were used in he first Iraq conflict under GH Bush. I think the US has since banned them and wouldn't be surprised if some of Syrias came from the US. (FAE - fuel air explosive)
5. Thermobaric weapons
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (08.10.12)
It should not surprise us that our weapons today are more deadly and science fiction like. I believe the ancients had superior technology then we have today, thus the flood/cataclysm record from generation to generation. Thermobaric weapons are child's play compared to scalar technology The problem with these weapons - we have the ability to erase mankind with them. Assad is the last person who should be wielding them. The real question is; why don't our governments tell their citizens they have the ability to erase mankind? Maybe the Tanach/Bible are actually true? It appears we are ALL headed to confrontation / war soon. Einstein said that WWIII may be fought with advanced weapons, but the war after will be fought with stones. History repeating itself. Unless we repent of our hate for our fellow man, this includes all men everywhere, we will continue down the path of destruction. As it is said; Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall see G-d.
6. Have The Murder Victims Bodies Been
(08.10.12)
Examened For Rupered ear drums, rupered type injuries from these type of weapons?
7. ass-ad is now guilty of genocide, but obumma sits idly.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.10.12)
I would hope that if hez-bull-ah uses one of these Israel would have the common sense to use it's WMDs and nuke them, WMD for WMD, death for death.
8. Thermobarics are not new weapons
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (08.10.12)
Russians used them in their Afgaistan offensive against mujahadeen to burn them out of their caves. It is very effective in the enclosed area.
9. #8- hmmm, and Lebanon has caves
William ,   Israel   (08.10.12)
Perhaps we can put these to good use against Hizbullah and the fat man who hides in caves and tunnels. We asked Israel to use WWII tactics that were used against the Japanese tunnels but these seems more effective.
10. Not a new weapon in the Middle East
New Addington   (08.10.12)
The government of the United Kingdom sold these types of weapons to the Israelis in the 1980's. They were used by Israel in Beirut during the invasion of Lebanon in 1982, in yet another attempt to capture the Litani River Appears that Israel's neighbours have been catching up
11. Thermobarics not new
Dave ,   Toledo, Ohio, USA   (08.11.12)
They were used in Vietnam to clear landing zones and to clear for base camps in the jungle.
12. the big lie
paul ,   australia   (08.12.12)
No longer just for European countries.
13. People should remember
Matt   (08.31.12)
Russian has no assurance that Assad will not use chemical weapons. Remember when Putin told Ahmadi to stop talking about the Holocaust and threatening to wipe Israel off the map. Withheld the S-300, what did Iran do took him to court over it. That proved that Russia has very little influence over Iran and nuclear or not, Israel cannot rely on Putin to control a nuclear armed Iran. Same with Syria Russia appear to have control and influence because let him do what he wants same as Iran. Once they put their foot see no control at all. The West think Russia is the USSR and has influence. When it comes to crunch that assurance from Assad to Russia will mean nothing.
