1. So we have to condemn Motta Gur ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.12.12)
Who said it on this GREAT June 1967 day when our forces liberated Yeroushalaim . Such police considerations can only make people more rightists .
2. Truth is Temple Mount NOT in our hands...
(08.12.12)
and to bother and do this is only going to cause problems. But then the Israeli right thrives on insecure problem making in order to have some sort of rallying call for their OBNOXIOUS INSECURE behaviors.
3. why..
daniela ,   panama   (08.12.12)
is it that we always try to accommodate others first? when arabs in israel, including the prominent arabs members of the Knesset protest, write things against jews, Israel and the government, trow stones and burn whatever they find, the police and the government doesn't say anything, about how we jews might feel regarding their protests and their words and acts. And when we want to convey a message of truth, because yes!... Har Ha Bayit hu shelanu, ve beyadeinu.. we are considered as provocateurs? Its time we defend our rights against all others rights. For the first time in 2000 years we are in our home and we still have to feel as if we were invited to be there? It will come a day we will have to say Israel for jews...that´s it!
4. The temple mount is in our hands
Jerry   (08.12.12)
****now come and arrest me***
5. Shame!
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (08.12.12)
Israeli police is afraid of arabs. They have panic to be involved in a real struggle for control and so they lost control years ago. Jerusalem police is a shame for this country!
6. Anything that makes the police WORK they call incitement....
Shame ,   on Israel   (08.12.12)
instead they and the government deny Jews all democratic rights or arrest us if we try to exert our rights. Even the Supreme Court said Jews CAN pray on the Temple Mount.
7. Call out:"The Temple Mount is not in our hands ! O.K .
Roland Seener ,   London England   (08.12.12)
8. Exile of the mind continues....
BH ,   Iowa   (08.12.12)
Jews are second class citizens in the Jewish State.
9. It IS in Israel's hands.
Ezra ,   sandiego   (08.12.12)
The Temple Mount will be taken from the gentiles, it's just a matter of time. This also will come to pass.
10. Censorship
Joe Sombrero ,   Usa   (08.12.12)
Censorship pure and simple for the first time I agree with the state department there should be free worship for Jews and Moslems also.
11. if its really yours why cant you cry or tske religous stuff
abdalla   (08.13.12)
Up to the mount fact is its not yours never will be
12. Incitement? Not much needed to incite Arabs
William ,   Israel   (08.13.12)
simple words like "Am Israel Chai" or "Israel's capitol is in Jerusalem" or "The Jewish State". Doesn't need much to set them off.
13. Sure, this statement could cause tensions
William ,   Israel   (08.13.12)
but so does the regular Muslim inciteful sermons, rocks being thrown on Jews at the Western Wall from the Temple Mount, and continued destruction of Jewish artifacts in the Temple Mount by Muslims...but police nor the govt seem to see any reason to curb it.
14. Cowardice of Israeli govt. is the real problem.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.13.12)
Declaring the Temple Mount belongs to Jews is not incitement. It's obvious historic truth. The fact that the current Israeli government trembles at declaring and enforcing Jewish rights is the real problem.
15. #14 I agree with you, Chaim
Christian ,   Sweden   (08.13.12)
This cowardice is a serious problem and it will not end good. At the center of Jerusalem is the Temple Mount and at the center of Israel/The Holy land is Jerusalem. The Romans understood that. When they had put down the Jewish rebellion, they thoroughly cleaned the Mount from Jewish presence and forbade Jews to pray there. When Islam conquered the land they rapidly understood the political-religious symbolical importance of the Mount and took possession of it. When the crusaders/Christians reconquered Jerusalem they consequently threw out the Muslims from the Mount and raised the cross above it. That means that the battle of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and Israel as a Jewish state will be decided on the Mount. Nothing more and nothing less. Cowardice here and everything is lost. I tried to express that opinion with the words, "this is Munich 1938 once more, but was stangely enough censored. The wakf should be thrown out immediately and the Mount be put under a secular Israeli administration and open for everyone, believer or non-believer, Jew, Christian or Moslem on the same conditions. That would be the wise thing to do in our days.
16. Temple Mount is Jewish!
DaHOUD ,   Egypt   (08.13.12)
The Temple Mount is a Jewish area usurped by the Ottomans. In classical Islamic fashion, they build mosque on top of churches & synagogues. What madness is this? Can you imagine building a grandiose Jewish Temple on top of their Mecca Shrine? These Arab Bedouins are an "invented people". Zuhair Muhsein, PLO in 1977 said" The Pal people does not exist. ..it is only a means for continuing our struggle vs. Israel for our Arab unity." This is a sick mind-set. The Temple Mount is 1000% . It is time to remove all Muslim presence from this "most sacred Jewish" area. Muhammad never set foot in & never uttered one word about Jerusalem . The concocted dream is a sick trick to remove Jews.
17. Stop fearing "Arab violence"
Vlad   (08.13.12)
The solution is to deploy squads of riot police, and when Arab violence begins, remind the Arabs who runs the joint, not give in.
18. #17 - Vlad
Devorah   (08.14.12)
You know what, Vlad? You nailed the core of the problem - "arab violence." Every time a Jew breaks wind, it's "arab violence." Violence is all they know, and aggressive retaliation by Israel is the only correction they understand. The Bible calls them "wild asses." And that's exactly what they are.
19. To #3 Daniela
MJ ,   My G.OD lives   (08.14.12)
If that's the true way you think things has to be why are you still in Panama?, make Alyah, come to really support the only country Jewish people belong to Leolam Vaed=for Eternity. Sadly YOU cannot say "We are in our home" cause you are not! too sad you haven't make yet Israel your Home!!! Make Alyah soon before it is too late.
20. One of history's great mistakes
Steve   (08.14.12)
Israel liberated the Temple Mount in June 1967 and promptly gave control to the stepchildren of the Third Reich. Think about it.
21. To all stupid brainwashed like you!!!
Wow! ,   Israel   (08.15.12)
In 1967m, after the stones were "liberated", the soldiers ran to the Western Wall, not to the Moslem Shrine Dome of the rock. And yes, Motta Gur was typical IDF officer, lacking any knowledge, thorougghly brainwashe, full of nonsense.
22. In Our Hands!
Nahum ,   Maale Adumim, Israel   (08.15.12)
Motta Gur prophesied without knowing he was a prophet - the future of the Temple Mount is indeed in our hands - it all depends on our willingness to act and take responsibility. Isn't that what Zionism is all about? Im tirtzu... The future depends on the will of the Jewish nation!
