31. International Control
Lord Sandwich   (08.15.12)
A much more forceful campaign is needed for an international body to manage the site and grant protection and acess to all religions.

zionist forever   (08.15.12)
If Temple Mount & Temple Mount alone ( no other holy sites ) were put under international control through the creation of a special religion neutral body that is not connected to the UN or any other existing organisation it would solve alot of problems if it was done right trouble is both Israel & the Islamic world would fight it.
33. @2 ur right, it has POLITICAL Meaning 2 Moslems!
(08.15.12)
so get over yourself and take your self-righteous monologue with you!
34. The "temple" or the "House of the Lord"? Isaiah Chapter 2
(08.15.12)
"My Holy Mountain" and Judah still has to come in, to help Israel.
35. Temple Mount and Devine Presence
Ralph Rosenfeld ,   USA   (08.16.12)
After the destruction of the Temple The Devine Presence was gone. 1947 was simply a historical event in which the Jewish people recovered the rubble on which the Arabs built a Mosque. The existing wall was built by tyrants. This a historical area which should be fully controlled by Israel and any one should be able to visit it, pray on it, do what they like. As a Judaic dream of holiness, it unfortunatly, is what it is and not what it was. Ralph Rosenfeld
36. #31 Temple Mount
ltrail ,   United States   (08.16.12)
Any and all international or national Temple Mount Commissions would soon become as problematic as the UN and the waqf ; and almost as soon as it was inaugurated. The State of Israel should do what it deems necessary and the Islamic world can just go and drink coffee somewhere.
37. 19 Sarah B. USA. Dynamite!
Joseph ,   London UK   (08.19.12)
Are you suggesting we should dynamite the site of the Holy Temple? The New Jerusalem and the Eternal Temple will represent universal peace and brotherhood, not violence and hatred. In Messianic time we will fulfill Isaiah's vision, 'My House [Jerusalem] shall be called a House of Prayer for ALL nations.' The Arabs will still be there!
38. 23. Freud, Einstein and Peter Gay
Sherlock Holmes ,   London UK   (08.19.12)
In a letter to Albert Einstein, Freud says he supports the need for a Jewish homeland but says the Muslims and Christians will never trust Jews to protect their holy sites and therefore Jews should found a new homeland outside Palestine where there is no problem. see Freud by Peter Gay, page 598
39. 31 Earl of Sandwich. International Jerusalem
Danny ,   London England   (08.19.12)
The original British plan for the Jewish homeland was to keep British control over the area around Jerusalem to avoid disputes between various groups and their holy places. The idea was scrapped. THe Muslims are a bit neurotic about the Temple Mount because they are well aware of the Jewish Prophets who foretold the future Jerusalem and its Temple. There is now a Jewish state in Israel with Jerusalem as its capital -- not withstanding the BBC, the Guardian and the White House. The time comes near when we will see the Kingdom of David restored and the Temple rebuilt, speedily and in our days/
40. 35. Do what they like???
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (08.19.12)
The wall may have been built by Herod, but the ground itself has sanctity. tradition says there is stlil a vestige of the Divine Presence, which is why the area was cleared and the Plaza built as a synagogue, our national counterpart to Canterbury Cathedral or Notre dame de Paris. At present of course it is not what it was, but the day approches when G-d's House of Prayer will arise again on the Temple Mount.

42. Temple mount
john ,   toronto   (08.15.14)
Do not hold the Temple mount for sentimental values .Sorcery is being done on the Jewish people and the land by those who hold the Temple mount. Hold Jewish prayers and services on the Temple Mount.
