Malone ,   Hfx   (08.14.12)
...better spelling is EWWWW.. These idiots couldn't find Israel on a map.
2. Pre 1948 Borders
Joe Sombrero ,   USA   (08.14.12)
So now the EU does not recognize the 1949 lines now?
3. EU is not a viable government
r ,   Atlanta liberated UK   (08.14.12)
4. NO BIZARRE DECISION
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (08.14.12)
It is an European decision, which pretty soon will include Tel aviv and the rest of Israel. Unfortunally our Liberal friends do not read German, Dutch or other opinions expressed in Europe, were people are very clear in their desire to denounce the existence of the state of Israel . When reading the Dutch websites anything to do with Israel results in vicious attacks full off hatred. This is not something that will go away, it has been part off Europe for th past 2000 years.
5. EU with its anti-semitisme...
Beary White ,   Norway   (08.14.12)
.and leftist politicians is on its way to breakdown and self-festruction. It is an easy target for rockets from Iran...

better yesterday than tomorrow
7. .Sick /Tired of Israel taking all the Punches
Roland Seener ,   London England   (08.14.12)
We must not let anyone defame us We have heard the bell and must come out fighting now without any display of weakness. The Nations will holler and yell but fear of a Strong Israel is the only way that we will gain the respect that Royalty (That's us) deserves. The day of the cowering Jew must be over !
8. What the HELL? Modiin isn't even a settlement!
Vlad   (08.14.12)
9. The ugly lady strikes again
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (08.14.12)
10. a bad mix
tiki ,   belgium   (08.14.12)
Intense Jew-hate + intense jealousy of Israel's economy (in comparisson with the EU's near break down) + dependence on Arab oil + changing demographics (Eurabia) = EU's masterplan to destroy the Jewish State by slowly trying to strangle it's economy, making irrelevant isues important, re-educating their own citizens through false propaganda, apaising Israel's enemies (your enemy is my friend) and acting as the hangman's helper trying to finish the Job that wasn't completely succesfull in 40/45.
11. I´ve said it before. Israel has to seek other markets
(08.15.12)
When the EU see they are not needed, the whole panorama will change. For sure all Asian and South American markets are interested in Israel products an technology
12. LOL! killing off Israel
Moragh   (08.15.12)
Israel will be standing tall when GB and their ilk will be the "down-and - outers. GB must be more careful, they are already standing with mud pasted all over their face!
13. Europe's broke
Big bad Jew ,   United States   (08.14.12)
in part to her handing over productiveJews and replacing them with non productive muslims who go boom!. A curse on their houses.
14. Israel
david ,   USA   (08.15.12)
about time EU has some balls. Israel is not part of Israel.
15. one of three reasons
avramele   (08.14.12)
Bureaucratic snafu? sheer stupidity on the part of some junior nobody? diplomatic terrorism? Could be a combination of all three but the truth will be lost in the spin once resolved.
16. The best retaliation
Vlad   (08.15.12)
Since the EU is so open to Muslims, let's covertly encourage the Palestinians and Israeli-Arabs to go there. After all, almost a majority of Palestinians want to emigrate. Let's see if the Europeans will still love them when they have to live with them.
17. Haaretz explained why
Vlad   (08.15.12)
Apparently, a part of the city was built in the "no-man's land" that existed between Israel and Jordan before 1967.
18. how about
tom ,   toronto, canada   (08.14.12)
how about if this was just an honest mistake, and an opportunity to "educate" the eu bureaucrats? or even if it was the work of a palestinian sympathizer, who has infiltrated the eu'c trade commission, wouldn't it make more sense to correct the mistake, rather than declaring war on the whole eu? at least until it can be proven otherwise...
19. what!? Tel aviv
Sam jacks ,   Usa   (08.15.12)
Why is tel aviv not legitimate. They are absolutely insane tel aviv was founded by Jews and was the original Capitol of israel. What is the eu smoking.
20. I always wanted to live in Yehuda & Shomeron
Ariel ,   Modi'in, Israel   (08.14.12)
And now I find that I have been for the last 14+ years. Whoo Hooo!!
21. more anti-Semetic European action against us
ma nishma ,   modiin   (08.15.12)
The Europeans have centuries long experience in anti-Jewish actions. Now instead of being overt in their actions, they are covert, but still, under the covers is the smell of anti-Semetisim. This time the reason is their dependence on Arab oil and their desire to trade with a billion Arabs instead of a million Jews. $ spins their heads in a most obvious manner.
22. #10 is correct: The EUians have learned nothing
Tzila ,   Modiin, Israel   (08.15.12)
and can't be bothered with trying to fix their own nightmarish problems. The evil in this world will always make us to be the scapegoat. Please good people of the world take a stand to make things right in your own countries!
23. Ha! Modi'in produces nothing except overpriced apartments
Avi   (08.14.12)
Non-issue here.
24. confustion with Modi'in Illit
David G   (08.14.12)
This is very likely a mix up. Some geographically challenged bureaucrat mixed up Modi'in Illit (which is a settlement) and Modiin-Maccabim (which is inside the green line) After a few frantic phone calls this will likely be resolved in short order
25. Payback to eu
Aaron ,   Toronto,Canada   (08.15.12)
If they play this game Israel should move all high-tech and medical head offices to modding and let the eu get nothing as far as technology.
26. dictators
saul ,   us   (08.14.12)
So the EU can now attempt to dictate what city belongs to a country? Perhaps they should attempt to get their own crumbling houses in order or move a few major cities out of their country's borders?
27. maps
forehead1 ,   usa   (08.15.12)
maybe the EU is looking at a map. israeli's should provide one to the EU ---- one with borders. LOL
28. #4 is absolutely right but
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (08.15.12)
The question is what do Israeli Leftists say? Israel's Left has always pushed for these kinds of measures to punish and isolate Jews they consider illegal. Too bad we don't hear Peres, Livni or Oz. Then again, considering that not so long ago the Israeli Left supported the Jordan valley, Golan and even united Jerusalem, I imagine that soon they will demand Modi'in be part of a new Arab state.
29. How are products from Turkey,China,Malvinas,Spain etc taxed?
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (08.15.12)
30. Modiin
Ali ,   Nilin   (08.15.12)
In fact Modiin built on 67 borders, and built on my village land. so it is fair enough that EU consider it as the rest of other settlemnts.
