31. Good for Jews?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.21.12)
Tell that to the families of over 2,000 murdered Israelis and the 20,000 that have been maimed since your criminal actions. You belong in jail.
32. Now, you know who is the mentor of Sharon

33. Traitor!

34. Good for Jews? # 31
iosif ,   USA   (08.21.12)
35. Rabin called Peres "a tireless conspirator"
Jake   (08.21.12)
in his memoirs, so that throws somewhat of a monkeywrench in Weisglass' argument. Weissglass asks why didn't Netanyahu annul Oslo in '96? The answer is simple: extreme pressure from the White House.
36. weisglass is a lawyer. They try to convince
jason white ,   afula, israel   (08.21.12)
the public a mass murderer, rapist or pedophile client of theirs is really a saint. peres is probably the most hated politician in Israel. However our enemies love him. Will there soon be a story that the Holocaust or pogroms were good for the Jews?
37. belonging in jail for writing an op-ed?
(08.21.12)
Gee from Zikron Yaakov is obviously unsuited for democracy.
38. To: Igor at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.21.12)
I think starting the second intifada rendered the Oslo accords null and void. Israel is therefore not bound by them.
39. To the "Palestinian" Weisglass cited in the Op-Ed
William ,   Israel   (08.21.12)
"It (Israel) created the only prison in the world where the prisoners have to provide for themselves, without the management's participation." Actually, you ("Palestinians") created your own jail, through violence, terrorism, and violating of the very promises you made. We (Israel) just chose not to partake in your failed experiment and you're on your own. Had we, the citizens of Israel, had our own way, you would have to provide your own petrol and electricity as well, or better yet - get it from your neighboring Arab country, since you ARE their citizens.
40. How about 1000 + dead 10,000 injured
Bear Klein ,   USA   (08.22.12)
I guess his relatives did not die or he did not care! How was Oslo good for Israel. False hope no peace!
41. WORST CRIME OF ALL - THE BALFOUR CORRUPTION.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (08.22.12)
The crims are following up with serial 2-state demands in the same tiny land today. This is the singular cause of all conflicts - including 9/11 and the persecution of Christians, Jews and all non-Muslims. And Britain still walks whistling. If Peres was really great he could restore the Balfour.
42. if dov is right about anything, it's by accident
rick ,   walnut creek   (08.22.12)
43. This oaf Sharon's adviser on Gaza for Qassams
ab   (08.22.12)
should be in jail
44. #38 Sarah B
Igor ,   Germany   (08.22.12)
In theory you're right. In practice, Israel cannot publicly declare that. The best option for Israel is to quietly subvert the accords wherever it can, while publicly declaring to honor them. But with all the EU and B. Hussein in the White House, even that will be politically hard.
45. Follow Weisglass' money
Yoss ,   Canada   (08.22.12)
The author clearly has an agenda, thus his conversion to defending Oslo and Peres. Now that he's not on the govt's payroll, he espouses an agenda that befits him: money...follow the money. look where the money trail is and you will find why his change of heart...remember how he was oh so much against Oslo when he was with Sharon? why the change of mind: easy: MONEY...$$$ it's all about money people.
46. Weisglass, have you no shame!!!
Zev ,   Israel   (08.22.12)
Oslo brought Arafat and his terrorists to Israel and the buses and Pizza shops were blowing up every week. Oslo recognized a fictitious nation in their fictitious country and the Arabs that I have spoken to have blamed Israelis for bringing a terrible situation upon them. If you really cared about them you would realize that what you supported had terrible consequences for all. Maybe you do but will not admit it.
47. With political advosors like this shmendrik its no wonder
hippocrates ,   earth   (08.23.12)
we resurrected the arch terrorist from the dead in the 90s. Weisglass have you noticed that 1000s o=have been miudered and wounded from your peres' and rabins' policies?
48. how have we musr wait until this conflect being ended?
ali ,   gaza   (10.29.12)
my question here is (how long we have to wait until this conflect being ended?) i am serious and honest when i say your talks and comments are indeed mesirable and i am very pessemistic of such comments. i can say that you are tireless biased writers and indeed your words are a sort of warmongers, beleive me Oslo has been abrogated since Rabin death (killing)if you say that oslo was a grave error so what is the non-error step could you please give the palestinian their partial rights and then you can be free of such deadlock try to be genuine peace partner and then we can revive this moribund peace, both of us are suffering but we much more suffering than you. be brave give us our land and we have the right to have such rights by having a state as will as others. try to conence the palestinians that you are interested in the peace practically rather than newspeak. the weapon power will not last for ever the power of mutual living and understanding is the lasting one.
