1. MORE CATHOLIC THAN THE POPE ?
Fo ,   Belgium   (08.22.12)
Why should the EU be more catholic than the Pope ? Why should the EU defend Israel's legal rights reaffirmed by the UN thanks to article 80 of its charter, when Israel's "left" as well as its supreme court (was it under Aaron Barak?) breached it ? Let us get real !!!
2. This is great news !!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.22.12)
The day will come, when the EU Antisemites will wake up to their own problems and realize, that Judea and Samaria are NOT part of their nightmare...
3. Take Baroness Ashton
Hunt S. Cross ,   England   (08.22.12)
to court for moving a population across to "occupied territory".
4. self caused
forehead1 ,   usa   (08.22.12)
in 1948 israel established it border. i assume, it did not claim the rest of the "mandate" as there were a great number of arabs living there. israel changes it tune after evicting multitudes of arabs from area "C". if Ha'viri has a problem with the EU and their policies; perhaps he could provide them with a definitive map of israel. Until he does so; he should learn to live with his(self caused) actions.
5. The truth is
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (08.22.12)
that you'll continue to grow as long as the welfare money keeps coming from tel aviv.
6. Yet more reason to ignore hectoring from EU
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (08.22.12)
Meanwhile, the EU can't bring themselves to recognize Hizbullah as a terrorist entity. They've disqualified themselves, based on such moral recklessness, from any say in the matter.
7. Have courage to tell E.U. to mind it's own business.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.22.12)
The E.U. has no business interfering with Israel in the first place. Israeli leaders must have the courage to tell the E.U. to mind it's own business. This is our land now and forever!
8. The Shomron incl Modiin
Stan ,   Sydney, Australia   (08.22.12)
Hey # 5, any assistance would come from Jerusalem, the capital, not Tel Aviv.
9. Majority of Yesha-inhabitants...
Yoch ,   Y'layim, IL   (08.22.12)
Work and/or serve in the army. Only a minority doesn't work, even amongst our Chareidi brothers and sisters, most work. Sorry, you're not right :)
10. great article!
nadav ,   tlv   (08.22.12)
The "settlement" of Tel Aviv supports you! THere is no such state as "palesine" and the region doesn't need another EUropean invented failed terror state- we have enough with Syria, Lebanon, libya, Sudan. and Iraq. btw, Jordan=palestine. I suggest the EU create a fund to create a democratic Republic of Jordan and help resettle the Muslim Arabs living the "West Bank" to go back to their homeland across the river.
11. Excellent!

12. The EU and Its Special Tax
ltrail ,   United States   (08.22.12)
The article says that "the European Union issued a statement declaring this city a “West Bank settlement,” and as such, products manufactured there will be hit with a special tax, if imported and sold in the EU." The phrase "West Bank" was coined by a Jordanian leader to describe the territory that Jordan stole from the Jews. The territory, in real time, is actually the districts of Samaria and Judea; districts of the State of Israel. As for the "Special Tax", people who support Israel and belong to the EU countries, should buy goods produced in Samaria and Judea. They should also vote out those who support catherine ashton and her anti-Jew group. Whenever I have opportunity, I purchase wines from Samaria.
13. e.u. Has No Business Telling Israel Nothing

15. Balaam and Israel
Joseph ,   Malta   (08.22.12)
When Balaam cursed Israel, Hashem turned the curse into a blessings...becuase He loves Israel (Deut 23:4).
16. Inaccurate
David ,   Tel Aviv   (08.22.12)
The argument that the EU just added 80,000 new settlers would be true were it not for the fact that it only added a few streets in Maccabim to its settlement list and not the entire city of Modi'n. There is also no EU "boycott" of goods from the settlements which can enter Europe freely and there is no "special tax" placed on them; just normal customs duties. But hey, why let the facts confuse you?
17. Modi'in and the EU
Sheila Rose ,   Modi'in, Israel   (08.22.12)
Unfortunately, only a small area of the lovely city of Modi'in is considered to be over the Green Line (see list of post codes to which it applies), so to claim that all 80,000 residents have been added to the "settler" population by the EU is incorrect.
18. #17 Sheila Rose: As far as the EU and the UN are concerned
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (08.22.12)
ALL of Israel is over the "Green Line"! Ashton and her cronies would love to see the Jews in Israel and in Europe go back to the camps!
19. EU MOODIM SETTLEMENTS
Andrea ,   Barcelona Spain   (08.22.12)
The EU considers all of Israel a settlement.
20. Struggle of EU to purge Holy Land from Jews
Yohanan Cerny ,   Vancouver Canada   (08.23.12)
BS`D Baruch Hashem that those who seek harming and cursing Jews from the Eretz Israel achive the opposite result on the end .
21. Correct assessment
Leo ,   Modi'in   (08.23.12)
However, even when the US ceases to let the money flow into our country under international pressure, Israel will draw a red line (which settlements remain under Israeli rule, which do not). The sooner would be the better. But I suspect that until the money keeps flowing in...
