1. I find it very strange
Mira ,   Vienna   (08.22.12)
that at Mubarak's time there was no whatsoever terror coming from Sinai despite the fact that there were no tanks and helicopters and fighter jets and heavy weapons around. Israel ust be very carefully watch this and if they do nto comply refer it to the UNSC immediately!
2. Israel, Typically Out in Space
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (08.22.12)
Either there is a treaty or there isnt? Either it has provisions. clearly stated or not. What is the big deal? From the Canal to the border with Israel..every inch has been covered..which weapons, how many troops, etc. If Israel is allowing adjustments, are they permanent or temporary? What decides? How is it enforced? One tank can become 100 or 1,000 or 10,000. 5,000 troops can become 50,000 or 300,000. What can Israel legally do if abrogated? Will Obama chime in this late? The UNSC is worthless as we see in Syria. Even Libya is a mess. And Egypt is in another dictatorship.

What the hell are you smoking Mira? During the days of Mubarak there were numerous terror attacks... Are you drunk or just retarded?
4. Give Hussain Obama an ultimatum
zionist forever   (08.22.12)
We must diplomatically and through the American media demand that Obama either gets the Egyptian weapons out of Sinai now and every fine detail of the treaty is upheld or the US will end military aid to Egypt. Its an ultimatum that must be made now whilst Obama is in the middle of an election campaign. I can't see those Obama loving Jews being to happy that he continues giving Egypt weapons when they are being illegally placed in Sinai. If Obama does nothing or the threats don't work then we must take action. Possibly we could send special forces to destroy a couple of tanks ( without the crews inside ) so all we have done is destroyed some hardware. If no soldiers are killed and all we did is a blow up a couple of tanks its not enough for Morisi to justify a full scale war but it will send a message to him that we will not be passive and wait for Egypt to build up a large force on our front door. It will also send a message to the US to intervene now to avoid escalation.
5. Another story
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (08.22.12)
containing quotes from people emminantly more qualified than Sarah B, showing that her hysteria on Ynet yesterday was totally unfounded. The fact is what is happening in The Sinai is being co-ordinated with Israel, and under theinstructions of the United states of America. Normal decent Israelis want a secure border with Egypt with no terrorists firing rockets into Israel. The only way to do this is to have a secure Sinai, that meansa secutrity presence. Egyptian Police hve shown they cannot do it. Therefore a military presence is required. If the more right wing nutters are getting hysterical because of a few tanks roaming Sinai, imagine how they are feeling about the intel reports stating that Hezbollah has in it's possession Scud D missiles

David ,   Shiloh Israel   (08.22.12)
I can't help wandering whether the 'border infiltrators' are actually part of a well orchestrated plan by the present Egyptian government to justify a provocative force presence in the Sinai? Unless the so called rebels are using tanks and aircraft, it appears that the weaponry employed by the Egyptians is clearly deployed for another target...the IDF. This is no right wing fanatical paranoia as I think its crucial to take steps towards de-escalating tensions, but common sense suggests that we should be fully prepared for any eventuality.

Not forgetting that Morsi is travelling to Iran next week to meet Ahmadinijad the day after Ban Si Moon head of the UN meets him. I'd hide under your bed if I was you

Whatever message you were trying to convey got lost in the infantile name-calling. You're entitled to your opinions, but please keep the discourse civil.

There is a better solution. Re-annex Sinai and order them out. If they refuse to go, send them to hell.
12. Calm down
Aiman ,   Egypt   (08.22.12)
Everyone knows about the situation in sinai. A lot of terrorists have sneeked through during the last 18 months. It is in the best interest of both Egypt and Israel the the military finish this job and do it right. Once complete, I am sure that the forces deployed will be brought down to a level that will prevent this from hapening again, and at the same time not be a threat to anyone. peace

Terrorists entered Gaza long before and during the revolution, managing to sneak in more than ample supplies of rockets and munitions

It is easy for you to criticize David while being in Spain. You are a brave computer warrior that have never seen the horrors of war.
