Does Mr Rivlin take it upon himself to visit every Jewish victim of Arab atrocities and apologize to them on behalf of the State and the people of Israel? Does he think the murder of the Fogels and countless others does not endanger our democracy or our security. Only a fool would make a bigger deal about this than necessary! It is a criminal matter. Impressive, in my humble opinion. Israel is a democratic country. When people - citizens act in a way that is an affront to those principles- then of course we as a democracy are offended and apologize. To do otherwise says that the rule of law only applies to some. That is just my point of view. I wish the harmed Arab teenagers a speedy physical and psychological recovery.

I don't think it's self-hate as much as it is an obsessive need to make non-Jews like us. They won't. Anti-Semitism has merely morphed into a focus as a nice centralized target -- the State of Israel; the Jewish State. Actually, it hasn't changed; it's merely added to an already disgusting repertoire of Jew hatred. I could care less about who likes us and who does not. I am, quite frankly, tired of kow-towing to the Jew haters out there. I have no interest in making them like me. The only thing that will make them all happy and satisfied would be for Israel to roll over and cease to exist. That's not going to happen. Any Jew who seriously thinks that endless accommodation will change the opinion of non-Jews toward Jews and the State of Israel is simply delusional. Sadly, it would appear that such delusions extend to Israeli government officials as well. Tzipi Livni and Shimon Peres are perfect examples of those delusional Jews. That's why they should be ignored and, in certain cases, reviled.

Rivlin is showing sympathy and understanding to the victim of a brutal attack - you would do well to take a leaf from that book rather than trying to shift the focus

On any given night you will find gangs of Arab boys in downtown Jerusalem chasing Jewish girls and not for marriage. If this does not stop there will be more such incidents a few Israei girls usualy from disadavantged homes encourage this to the detriment of other Israeli girls they also need to be educated as to their contributions to this violence. Just blaming one side is not the answer . Jewish women cannot sit alone in any park in Jerusalem without being harrased sexually by Arab men a fact !

But the parents of these darling youth must be very proud of the bravery shown by their children in attacking a helpless person, 50 (or so) to 1.
