1. Anyone still read this? The headline makes me vomit already
Secular with their ,   Galut Mentality   (08.23.12)
Do you think Arabs will like you more because you keep writing about it with exaggeration? Absolutely not.
2. J'lem lynch victim released from hospital
LAZERBENABBA ,   London   (08.23.12)
What goes around comes around., or as we say in the UK, Tit for Tat. This is not to say that this awful attack should not have occured and I am sure that the father' comments that this is how the Jewish children are brought up to hate Arabs.; is he so blinkered not to know that this is what is inculcated into every Arab child from the year dot. Does fe not read and see the dreadful comments of the anti jewish media in every Arab state.
3. No. 2
NYC Girl   (08.23.12)
You're absolutely right. Also, isn't it interesting that whenever there have been suicide bombings and terrorist attacks against innocent Israelis there were those who were always looking for the "root causes." Yet when those teen-age thugs beat that young Arab man, nobody raised the possibility that all the violence Israelis have been subjected to could possibly have been a "root cause" for this type of anti-social behavior. Not only that, but as opposed to the hand-wringing and apologies on the part of Israeli politicians and the media, the murder and mayhem committed by the terrorists is often encouraged and rewarded.
4. Re out of Hospital
Rod ,   Fargo N.Dakota   (08.23.12)
From the reports that this guy was almost killed he sure made it out of the hospital pretty fast.
5. What a sick society we have become.
Keren IL-BR ,   tEL Aviv   (08.23.12)
Disturbing posts. In any healthy society any case of lynching, whatever reasons, would be condemned. Justice you do in courts and tribunals, not on the streets. If Arabs did that to us in the past, this does not mean it is right to act like them. Are we legitimizing violence? The press is right to denounce this horrible act. The authorities are right to visit the poor, innocent guys in the hospital. And you, that defend this, are contributing to create a society of little monsters and racist freaks. Something that has nothing to do with Judaism values. Shame on you.
6. Like Rabbi Altmann had to do in Berlin
2Mad ,   צרפת   (08.23.12)
It seems the only way to see some optimistic news today is by reading antisemitic papers. Stop competing with haaretz already, doesn't matter how hard you try - You'll never reach their pc-bs level.
7. The deference between Israel, and palestinians
JJJ   (08.23.12)
The deference is in Israel the attackers are criminals, in the Palestinian territories they are shahidim
8. "this is how they were raised" laughable if it wasnt so
backwards ,   jack bauer   (08.23.12)
thee arabs incite daily, attack daily, desecrate daily, and jews are the bad guys..... i cant stop laughing.... people who believe jews are evil attackers and arabs are peaceful victims need to take their meds
9. #5 Keren
haim ,   telaviv   (08.23.12)
I think the views expressed here in ynet are representative of a very small but very vocal sample of society. What normal Israelis would consider to be right wing extremists. I mean, these people think Bibi and Sharon are leftist pussies. Same ten or twenty contributers every article, every day. And every newspaper seems to have them.
10. It's a question of self-estime
Yossef   (08.23.12)
who are we if we accept our children to behave like animals? We must get rid of racism in our society, jewish racism anti-arab as well as arabic racism anti-jews. This is all the meaning of the Torah, to become a civilized people, with principles. If you are not in danger, don't kill, it would be a murder.
11. #3 the terrorism of our enemies
Yossef   (08.23.12)
does not justify terrorism from our side. We follow a series of principles, written down in our scriptures, that found our civilization. We are different, we are not murderers, did you get that?
12. #5 I support you Keren
Yossef   (08.23.12)
we don't want to become a society of racist freaks.
13. Children attacking deadly another lonely child
Lou ,   Bucharest, Romania   (08.23.12)
AWFUL! It's the teenagers of today whose education full of violence should worry everybody no matter if in Europe or America. It made think of William Golding's terrible book "Lord of the Flies". And to all who DARE complain about the title: cynics are not human beings.
14. #5 well said (end)
merle ,   usa   (08.23.12)
15. 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 someday you will realize how sic you are
Joy ,   NJ   (08.23.12)
16. Exaggeration by Arab journalist
David ,   Israel   (08.23.12)
This is no phenomenon and the situation is a lot better then it was in the intifada. Why no hatred towards Jewish/Christians of Arab descent? Why is their such hatred? One only has to look at what Hamas/Hezbollah etc have done to this country and swears to do. Why is there no hatred towards Druze, Bedouin or other groups? It's because none have the same violent history and behavior The same feelings are felt worldwide towards Arab Muslims and its not because of their skin or culture it's for what they do and say towards any other culture besides their own. Unfortunately this kid copped it, but who knows what he said before he got it. Im sure it's alot less safe for Jews in East Jerusalem at night

LAZERBENABBA ,   London   (08.24.12)
May I suggest that you put your brain in gear before you talkback. If you read my initial comment that" this awful attack should not have taken place" but I attempted to give a rationale for this abhorent behaviour. Unfortunately content is often considered irrelevant by many talkbackers, hence the nonsense that they spout.
18. #15 Not sick only telling the truth
rachel   (08.24.12)
Especially number 2 who said the same people who always claim to look for the "root" causes for Arabs mass murdering Jewish women and children in terror attacks. Seem outraged that anyone would even dare suggest that just maybe there is a root cause to the recent, unfortunate wave of violent attacks perpertrated against Arabs. Doesn't make what happened to this young man right in anyway,or any less egregious, violence in any form is wrong and immoral, unless of course,it is in selfdefense, like when the Israeli army kills terrorists about to launch rockets at Israeli cities, but it goes both ways. I remember not long after the Fogel murders, when every else in Israeli society was still in shock, that people on the far left said the Fogels were pretty much to blame for their own murders because they were living in their twisted view on occupied land Palestinian land, and that it wasn't the fault of the murderers who held down the children and baby and stabbed them to death, and showed no remorse at all for horrific actions. The hypocrisy on the far left is nauseating, and I am not saying that because I am a right wing extremist at all,if anything I kind of tend to lean towards the moderate right, to even left of center.
19. #9 not me
davis ,   usa/israel   (08.24.12)
Include me with what you call "right wing". Some of us have seen enough of Arab terrorism.
20. what are you surprised, #5?
tello   (08.24.12)
Children are part of the war too.. every since the Dolphin Disco attack.... ...do you blame them for being afraid, angry, hateful, and pre-emptive? They themselves are a target and there is plenty of precedent to back it up. The question is not "why are our kids like this", but rather... :"why did they become like this". Yes, we should work to change it... but no, our kids are not monsters. They are reacting exactly the way nature predicts they should.
21. "Lynching"?
Dallas ,   Canada   (08.24.12)
Words are important. This is thuggery but is not a lynching, which is an execution. Anti-Israel hatred is bad enough without using exaggerated terms of the actions of these thugs.
22. #15
reason ,   sa   (08.24.12)
you so right, 1,2,3,4 have so much intelligence unfortunately very little wisdom.
23. Addressing Realities
Golden Dome ,   Washington, USA   (08.26.12)
This type of accountability makes Israel MORE secure. The racists want there to be the Law of the Jungle not justice and democracy.
