The claims as to the benefits of non-circumcision are utterly spurious. Here in Canada we recognize the huge savings to the medical cost through circumcision. Lower rates of STD, reduced transmission of HIV and reduction in certain cancers. We have been performing Brit Milah for 3,000 years and are one the most successful nations on this planet. We will continue with Brit Milah - it is logical. What motivates the anti Brit fringe elements is a mystery to me. I am only an engineer, given to logic. Maybe the behavioural scientist can figure out a motive.

Therefore, I know from "personal experience" that circumcised penises look much nicer and offer additional sexual pleasures. While the glan of my penis is all dried up, his is always shiny and sexually appealing. While I get occasional irritation of the skin when I masturbate. he has natural lubricant provided by the foreskin. I can go on and on...Except for the occasional case where the penis suffers from the very tight foreskin condition which makes cleaning the penis more difficult, circumcision is a violation of the baby's rights and should not be forced on him.

The thing is, Alex, that they don't rot, because they don't smell and don't get smegma, because good hygiene is the norm in Scandinavia. I realize that hundreds and thousands of years ago, it was much more difficult to keep things squeaky clean "down south" in your hot climate, but that shouldn't be a problem nowadays. I was circumcised in my 20's, no diminished pleasure as a result. Further, John Hopkins university just did a study which shows that medical costs as a result in decreased circumcision will soar in the future due to diseases prevented by circumcision increasing in the next 20 years or so.
