there will always be accidents. I hope this brave Israeli makes a full recovery. Having announced that I am running for the post of Prime Minister of Israel I would like to put forward my policies regarding the IDF veterans wounded whilst on active service will be looked at with monies reallocated from the Haredi who will have to fund their own studies out of their own pocket..

5. Why did they stop the exercise?
C-Low ,   US   (08.27.12)
In war people die and get hurt. You don't stop a exercise because someone was hurt or even killed. You cannot win battles if your troops are so casualty sensitive. Fighting is nasty and regardless of how mismatch strong you are there will be loses and injuries. Train for it teach the men to use those hits as a strength to push through and not freeze or expect a time out pause.

8. #5 C-Low US
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (08.27.12)
Yes in war soldiers are maimed and killed. Israeli Battles are NOT won by showing disregard for those seriously injured in training. In Israel we teach men to value life of the common soldier, as a reult Israelis try to show compassion for such injuries. How strange it is to be lectured by a USA (citizen ?) on how to train , how to fight ...US results in Vietnam, Somalia (look for "Black Hawk Down" ), Aghansitan ???? moshe

Akiva ,   Israel   (08.27.12)
As everyone, I too pray for his speedy recovery. I would just like to point out that as a nurse/paramedic I am sick and tired of the phrase "doctors fighting for his life.". anyone who has ever been in a hospital, especially an ICU knows that it is a collaborative effort and that THE NURSES are the ones mainly with the patient.

"..How strange it is to be lectured by a USA (citizen ?) ..." Moishele, relax.Personally ,I agree with #5.I have dual citizenship and served in IDF in the war and in the training.I remember something like this happen during "targil ugda" ,long time ago .Wounded soldier was taken by ambulance to the hospital without "afsacat esh".So.please,stop with your "shtuiot" about high moral values. There is reality of life, in combat or in training. Anyway, refuah shlema to this boy.
