1. "only an idiot who is out of touch with reality"
jack bauer   (08.31.12)
would try and prevent deporting people from enemy countries under the guise of humanitarianism. If they are illegal they should be asked to leave. If they dont they should be taken into custody and forced to leave. That is what any rational nation would do. The leftnik bleeding heart dogooders dont have them living at their bus station. They need to wake up and smell the coffee
2. Well done Mr Ishay, there is no uproar
Laurence ,   israel   (08.31.12)
There is no uproar surrounding Eli Yishai's decision to detain and deport migrants from north Sudan. Only leftists are crying, meaning nothing. The entire israeli population agrees on the subject of deportation.
3. Deport them to Egypt
Judd Rusnak ,   Sydney   (08.31.12)
They came from Egypt, they should be returned to Egypt. That is the LAW all over the world, return back to the country you have come from!
4. Thtrow them out before you lose your country.
Al   (08.31.12)
Israel was founded, fought for and defended to be a homeland for the Jews. Its time to show these illegals the door. Wake up before you lose your country. Its simple..its not rocket science. Just yesterday I met a young educated Israeli who left Israel for Montreal looking for a better life (her words). I found it sad...you are losing your youth and allowing these gate crashers to suck you dry. WAKE UP!
5. Israel the Jewish Homeland
Big bad Jew ,   United States   (08.31.12)
As for illegals send them home ASAP.
6. No one who crosses two borders ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.31.12)
.... can be classified as a refugee. That's agreed international law. Israel can send the Sudanese to Egypt, and the Sudanese can apply to the United Nations as refugees from there. In Israel -- the second border they crossed -- the Sudanese are illegal aliens, with no right of refuge. If it is refuge they want -- as they and their apologists claim -- they crossed the one requisite border when they entered Egypt. The same holds true for the Ethiopians and the Eritreans who illegally entered Israel. They have no right, nor legitimate expectation, of haven in Israel. That's the law. If you don't like it, change the international convention. But unless and until, the sole status that the African migrants have is that of illegal aliens. All sovereign states have an absolute right to expel illegal aliens. Israel is a sovereign state.
7. Almost ALL of the Infiltrators are Muslims
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (08.31.12)
They are an invading Muslim army. An extremely dangerous Fifth Column who will join in with other Muslims in the next big war against Israel. Deport every one of them immediately.
8. Mr. Yishai ignore the leftists
Rachel ,   US   (08.31.12)
And do your job.
9. As for the Eritreans, the foreign
Reuven   (08.31.12)
minister of that country just had high praise for Iran, during the NAM meeting in Teheran. That fact makes Eritrea, which has no relations with Israel, a hostile nation. Yishai can legally deport all the Eritreans too.
10. They still don't address the main issue
Tracy W   (08.31.12)
The main issue is that Israel can't absorb genuine non-Jewish asylum seekers either. Africa is chronically afflicted by war and famine. Famine is bound to become an even worse threat with climate change. There will be no end to the flow of refugees from one African country to another. If even a fraction of the millions of Africans suffering from effects of war and famine were to head for Israel, it would overwhelm the country. THERE MUST BE A PERMANENT ARRANGEMENT WITH UNHCR to direct all refugees to camps in Africa. Israel is too tiny to take in more than a small number of non-Jewish refugees, and it has already done that with the Vietnamese and other groups. Africans migrants now in Israel must be sent home or to refugee camps in Africa immediately. Israel's uncertain policy regarding asylum for non-Jews is creating extremely serious problems for the country.
