Pakistan doesn't have delivery capacity. That's actually the much tougher end of the nuclear equation.
62. #43 @Sarah B
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (09.09.12)
Sarah, in a way, you are wrong! After an EMP strike. not only transformers, computers and other equipment will be gone. Also refrigerators, freezers, cold storage houses...... will be done! All the equipment in the Iranian food production will be out, water supply facilities will go out of service all cars and trucks and public transportation will be gone..... An EMP strike really will catapult Iran back into the stone age. BUT In a stone aged Iran, not so many people will find nutrition, nor will they get adequate health care..... Transformers and electric motors will burn. Particularly oil cooled electrical equipment will burst into flames.... Electricity, water supply, gas supply, health care services will be gone at least for many months and Iran would take at least 20 years to recover from such a strike. Iranian peoples would suffer a lot from such a strike!
63. there is no longer question if iran will have nuclear
inconito   (09.09.12)
the only question is when ? talking about EMP attack, just show israelis leader are going crazy, and they understand they can't stop iran nuclearization.... US are simply not going to occupe iran ad vitam aeternam EMP IS nuclear weapons the whole world will reliate against israel, and ice on the cake it will not prevent iran from going nukes.
64. Hahaha
Adam ,   USA   (09.09.12)
I think you mixed too many of your pills. Get some sleep there.
65. wow haha
Adam ,   USA   (09.09.12)
Not sure how a small desert in the Middle East has a kept any country safe. It was us who rescued you in WW2, not yourselves and not your god.
66. war crime
Don ,   Lamar, USA   (09.09.12)
all war is crime against humanity. something for individual leaders to seriously consider before going down paths that lead to war. iran should take heed
67. #33 Madeline, Wales needs you. Not Israel
(09.09.12)
You're over the hill and an expense on Israel these days.
68. #61 - Sarah
Eric ,   Toronto   (09.09.12)
Thanks for you response. I was not aware of that. But isn't it a matter of time that Pakistan gets delivery capability? They surely must be working on some missile system. Otherwise what is the use of having their nuclear arsenal? Why aren't Israel and the USA trying to stop that?
69. Let My People Alone!! Re:#2
Navy Seal ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.09.12)
Moses (Israel) went to Pharaoh (Iran) let my go (alone) if not, you will see the Hands of Heaven (G-D is with Israel.) #2 How many times was Pharaoh repeatedly warned & did not react till the 10th Plague? Humanitarian? Tell me, the US was humane in VietNam when they dropped Napalm & Agent Orange and wiped out villages and also medically harmed our own troops? Presently the Hague is stupidly quiet where it concerns Syria and the blood-bath there where people are being literally slaughtered by their own countrymen. Why are they holding their tongues and not speaking out? They are all afraid of a Muslim uprisal which would wreak havoc in their own countries. WIMPS!! You were never in the military otherwise you would know from 'survival of the fittest.' It is either Israel existence or Iran attempting to blow Israel off the map. Iran is already polluting the world with all of its atomic waste in the Persian Gulf. There are already people that have radiation sickness that has not been reported as all is kept hush-hush. You know nothing of how the Afghanistan's army rape and sodomize women & boys. These are Arabs that have no worth.

The world rather see Iran survive than Israel. On 1 hand is a nation thats lasted less than a 100 years and its carved out of a desert. On the other hand you have one with thousands of years of history and their people have had the most influence on the world. Sure, we're all sympathetic that jews were enslaved for thousands of years and about the holocaust in the past century.. but it goes so far.
71. #17 Howard
Adam ,   USA   (09.09.12)
I'm sure you think a lot of things. Iran couldn't be destroyed if they used all their nuclear weapons. Its a huge area. Find a map and use it. Israel would be destroyed in less than 10 bombs. If the bombs are aimed at their facilities, they would have their arsenal destroyed before even being able to retaliate.
72. chosen people
Don ,   Lamar, USA   (09.09.12)
too many people misinterpret the phrase; nevertheless, like freedom, being 'chosen' carries with it more responsibility. were Israel IRresposible, there would be no issue. no iran to speak of. no palestinians, either. but Israel IS responsible and bears a burden few countries on earth can imagine. the Bible is right; Ishmael is a wild man, no one can tame him.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.09.12)
You are a whack job. For one thing, EMP is not a weapon of mass destruction. Moreover, the whole world will clamor to acquire Israeli advanced technology. That will be the extent of any "retaliation." Get a grip. Also, please learn how to spell "incognito." You really have no idea, do you? How sad.
74. to no 58 Wisful thinking you moron
(09.09.12)
75. 65 rescue? USA new of the extermination cam ps since 1942
(09.09.12)
Prcticalloy jewish emigartion to USA was closed since 1944 same as to Palestine. You could have saved at least 3 million more. But you sat to wait. The truth ios painfull ah ? USA won a war5 against Germany but didn't save enough Jews. Could have destroyed the railways conducting to death camps but abstained....
76. OSINT at bottom of article...
osgo ,   Japan   (09.09.12)
What everyone is missing is Israel *doesn't need* to use an EMP to cripple the electrical infrastructure...indeed, I'd bet about 5000 Siemens buffer-overflow'd switches...selective...block by block if necessary. The Iranians have 3000 years of culture...about the same age as their computer systems...I'm not an infosec hacker guy or anything :), but...er...i do read a lot.
77. The arabs have felt the hand of Hashem many times
(09.09.12)
Just as Pharoh did with the pagues but he was stuborn and even letting our people go, he still persecute them until he drown. Arabs and Iran will have the same fate
78. Ocean's 11 - see that movie already
Shep ,   Memphis   (09.09.12)
79. Emp is not something new nor effective
Mike ,   US   (09.09.12)
Aladdin has used EMP against jaffar back in 2006 . I think either both Israel and Iran should have nukes . Or none for both . That is the only way to keep peace in that parking lot .
80. LIKE! very much :)
Talula ,   Israel   (09.09.12)
81. Limited range of EMP's
Josh ,   Montreal, Canada   (09.09.12)
although i don't know the exact diameter of an EMP pulse i still believe its ridiculous that a blast will knock out all of Iran's power grids let a lone its neighboring countries, i'd suspect the blast to be strategically deployed to cripple its nuclear program and its means for retaliation, obviously seeing how they've placed there nuclear reactors through out it's civilian populated places as a means to deter an attack there will obviously be collateral damage, but Iran is a big country and will have the means to accomadate those in need, i mean it cant be worst then India
82. I think a war crime is
Nadav ,   Israel   (09.09.12)
to build nuclear weapons while calling another country a cancer, and that it should be destroyed, like Iranian leaders do. Maybe Iranian leaders should think of people in the hospitals there.
83. PRAY THERE WILL BE PEACE
AMERICAN HINDU ,   USA   (09.09.12)
I pray there will be no confrontation between the Persians and Israelis. Throughout history Persians & Jews have been close. I pray rather that there will be a regime change in Tehran.

A preemptive strike mentality is one of unbelief. YHVH calls all men everywhere to repentance(tshuva) . If The nation/state of Israel and it's leaders will have embarked on a path of unbelief if they carry out a preemptive strike. this will prove who they really are and what is in their hearts. Those who believe in YHVH need to understand the truth about the nation/state of Israel and it's connections to the NWO that seeks to enslave mankind. Grace & Peace, Romach

Bob K ,   orlando USA   (09.09.12)
88. Mutual Assured Destruction
Joe Sombrero ,   USA   (09.09.12)
Israel in my opinion as a policy needs a Mutual Assurance Destruction policy against any country including so called friends that threatens her existence both physically and economically with embargoes and blockades. Bravo if Israel has it. The United States in the 50s accidentally blacked out Hawaii by accident during a Nuclear blast test in space. That's my opinion.
89. and exactly why do everyone think Iran can do the same??
Feras/Peace   (09.09.12)
You say israel have the right to do it?? and protect their selves from destruction right?? well, how about Iran?? Israel has nuclear weapons, why wouldn't you open up your nuclear facilities for inspection?? why should Iran?? besides, dont they also have the right to protect themselves from Israel?? or is Israel the only HUMANE country in the world and everyone else is just S**T?? equal rights...either everyone should have nukes, or NO ONE should have them...and also, every country can initiate an EMP attack, so dont expect Iran to just sit around and do nothing about it...and no, israel cant actually win a war against Iran, they dont have enough resources to do so either, they will lose...unless of course they use their peaceful nukes that they are "allowed" to have or their "God-giving right". which will be the end of it...either way, you should thrive for peace with Iran and not war, because even if they do have nukes they wont use them...why wouldnt they anyone...how can you NOT see what israel do to everyone else??
90. Lunacy
Thomas the Doubter ,   USA   (09.09.12)
An EMP attack does involve the deployment and use of a nuclear weapon. Keep in mind that there are powers in the world armed with several thousand nuclear weapons who are somewhat friendly with Iran and may not take kindly to that. Not to mention that it would be like swatting a fly with a sledgehammer
