1. ABSOLUTE NONSENSE
Baruch ,   Israel/Houston   (09.13.12)
Nobody is that stupid
2. Ridiculous article
Paul ,   Atlanta, GA USA   (09.13.12)
They thanked and praised God throughout the convention. Just because it 'wasn't' a part of their platform (which it shouldn't be as we separate church and state), doesn't mean they don't believe in or thank God. You're a fool for writing this article.
3. not surprising
michel ,   Ashkelon   (09.13.12)
Obama and his followers are ideologs. They know very well that the fondaments of american values are in the bible. They were very sincere when they took out the name of G. After in bringing it again they only did what they ever did,to try to have the votes. They show their real face and nature: people without principles.
4. Rabbi Brackman, you scare me.
Sebastian ,   Jerusalem   (09.13.12)
Your vote depends solely on the fact that the word "god" appears in the platform? People like you really frightens me. Go vote for Romney then. He is a devote Mormon, so he puts god everywhere. I guess it does not matter that his god has nothing to do with yours. Please Rabbi, stick to religion articles. Mixing religion and politics is a very bad idea, especially when you don't know about politics. Your title does not give you the authority to speak about anything you want.
5. May he loose the election
Ezra ,   San Diego USA   (09.13.12)
Character matters to voters. Baruch HaShem.
6. Obama doesn't give credit to acknowledge any outside G-d....
Sarah ,   Israel   (09.13.12)
because in his mind HE IS "god". This is the primier trademark of a narcissist. He thinks HE has omnipotent powers. Why does he need help from G-d Almighty?!!!
7. American hypocritical election ritual demands dhimmitude to-
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.13.12)
wards Imaginary Friend in the clouds. If indeed guilty of that omission (let's hope so) Mr. Obama is sure to loose some points. What a crazy world: to think that a hysterically secular individual like me is rooting for a Mormon to win, only because the alternative is much more scary.... incredible times we live in!
8. #2 Separation of church and state has nothing to do with it
Jake   (09.13.12)
The 1st Amendment says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". This only prohibits Congress from supporting or endorsing a specific religious INSTITUTION, such as a church, synagogue, or mosque. It has no bearing whatsover on an official endorsement of the existence of the Supreme Being, a belief which is affirmed by the great majority of Americans. Thus, the official motto of the United States is "IN GOD WE TRUST".
9. Theocracy
Helder Vieira ,   Porto, Portugal   (09.13.12)
Another priest promoting theocracy, on the false assumption that believing in Santa Claus gives some kind of moral superiority. Well, I used to respect religious people. No longer, unfortunately. I've seen too much, so in fact nowadays I associate religion with low ethics. Stop worrying, rabbi. For thousands of years religious people had a chance to deliver, and failed. So please take a rest, and make everybody a favor by stepping aside. Enough is enough.
10. Omission followed by foreign policy flushed down toilet
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (09.13.12)
Coincidence? I see too many "coincidences" to be coincidental.
11. WELL SAID RABBI BRACKMAN
DA RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED OPERAHOUSE   (09.13.12)
President Oshawarma is an arrogant fellow who has power and money in his heart ,and G-d in his back pocket .May Oshawarma be unseated from his throne speedily in our days .AMEN .
12. Barrack Obama has no use for God
Emeka ,   Nigeria   (09.13.12)
He definitely has no use for God. We become very successful and forget the Mighty God that led us thus far. Democrats are destroying america and obama is taking it to the next level with their naïve moral inclination.
13. #6 How correct
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (09.13.12)
One need look no further for validation of this point than to the 2008 election where he stated his election was the moment that the rise of the oceans began to slow and the earth began to heal. What a self-absorbed tool!
14. An honest person can't say anything good about Obama.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.13.12)
An honest person can't say anything good about Obama. Other than he's a good teleprompter reader. Obama is an absolute disgrace as a president and as a human being. As famed actor Clint Eastwood noted, Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on America.
15. #1 - I laughed out loud
Denis Cohen ,   Israel/Ireland   (09.13.12)
16. Is this article for real?...
Zuz   (09.13.12)
17. Leaving G-d out...
GW ,   USA   (09.13.12)
Very good points in this article.
18. Jews will still vote for Obama
Shalom ,   Ashdod, IL   (09.13.12)
American Jews are the most stupid group of voters. They would vote for Fidel Castro if he had the letter D (for Democrat) after his name. When Reagen won 48 out 50 states in 1980 against that idiot Carter, he only got 30% of the Jewish vote. So spare the pontification please, they will vote for a Democrat no matter what!
19. #8 Jake: In which god we trust?
Sebastian ,   Jerusalem   (09.13.12)
The official motto in US is "in god we trust". In a diplomatic spirit, it is not specified which god. Will it be the catholic one? The mormon god, maybe? The jewish one? Allah? Ahura-Mazda? Zeus? The great flying spaghetti monster? Would you vote to Obama or Romney if they say "Thanks Jesus" instead of "Thanks god"?
20. Of course, there is no g, and no batih. Smart speeches Obama
Michael ,   California, USA   (09.13.12)
21. #18 Shalom, you know D less than I know H. Penguin speakin'

EST ,   Miami USA   (09.14.12)
24. humblness=wisdom
מבין עניין ,   israel   (09.14.12)
america trying to remove God of israel from every place. God will remove america from it's place to a very deep darkness. it hurts to see this great country going to the wrong direction that leads to the end
25.  Rabbi stick to your Talmud
ScottB ,   Boston MA   (09.14.12)
I think it's shameful that politicians invoke the name of H"KBH for cheap political expediency.
26. #5 Ezra
Lazerbenabba ,   London   (09.14.12)
Perhaps if it is true, the only comment re the absence of mentioning God is that this is the only positive aspect of Obama's re-election campaign. If only this small bit of common sense was continued into the realisation that stretching his hand out to the Muslim countries was also a big mistake and a new determination to completely cut off diplomatic relations with these regimes as there is no persuading or talking in reasonable language to those who will not listen. Forget about gods, idols, fairies and even father christmas. Be an adult do what is right for the western democracies. Reciprocate in kind. If they do not permit other belief systems in their own countries this should also be denied access in the west and before some religious nut says that two wrongs do not make a right; it will certainly make me feel better.
27. To #8 Jake!
Z.Z. Coltrane ,   USA   (09.15.12)
You are right-on! The many godless fools in America (my country) are trying to destroy the very foundation America was built upon: Judeo/Christian beliefs! God bless! And, God bless America and our greatest ally, Israel (a blessing to all nations)!
28. Belief in God is similar to the flat earth society.
Alex   (09.15.12)
Only primitives subscribe to that theory.
29. Obama and G-d
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa, CA 95401   (09.15.12)
Dear friend, you absolutely misread both the politics and theology here. I will vote for Obama because he has practiced some very important moral imperatives. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, welcome the stranger, share what you have been given with those who are in need. Honor women! The list is endless. And, if you will listen, he has spoken many times about his gratittude for what he has, his acceptance of religious principles and his desire for peace. he has ended wars, not foolishly started them with enormous cost in human lives and suffering. You can keep you made up "subtexts" to yourself from now on. We know the truth here and WE will cast the votes.
30. From your mouth
