1. The damage is done
Abe Froman ,   NY, NY   (09.11.12)
Taking this spat public means the US couldn't agree to a redline even if the Administration wanted to. That is because no nation can be seen being bullied into a new foreign policy, by an ally no less. Netanyahu has made Israel look weak to America, and gained nothing thanks to his unnecessary exercise of pique.
2. Then why don't you be quiet Ehud!
Rachel ,   US   (09.11.12)
3. Wise, Barak, wise
Cameron ,   USA   (09.11.12)
You play this issue of a US attack very smooth & deferential with us.
4. The President and Congress
Joel ,   ossining   (09.11.12)
Bibi seems to forget it is the President, regardless of whether you like him or not, who determines US foreign policy. It is not the congress, presidential candidates, evangelists, Jewish-American, etc , but the president who decides. Every Israeli PM understood this except for Bibi, who somehow thought he could go around Obama. Every Israeli PM, except for Bibi understood the danger of making US-Israel relations a partisan issue. Republican as well as Democrats and independents, do not like it when their president is mocked.
5. End all relations with israel & balance the budget.
American Vet ,   USA   (09.11.12)
6. Does this mean PSYWAR is over? Or more Good Cop, Bad Cop?
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.11.12)
7. Why should Obama meet with Netanyahu?
Elisha ,   State of sanity   (09.11.12)
So Bibi can sandbag him before, after or during their meeting? The entire gentile world and half or more of the Jewish world does not trust Bibi. Let him meet with mitt and Sheldon and plan a leverage bomb out in a Republican administration that appears less likely by the day. Not since Arafat bet on sadam Hussein has a leader bet on the wrong horse in such an overtly and obviously dumb way. The PM must go!
8. Barak, Bibi, etc.
moshe weinberg   (09.12.12)
As an Israeli living abroad and following closely the Iran issue I think it is about time that the prime minister puts an end to all the chatter about Iran. Enforce a ban by any ministers to discuss the issue in public and conduct your dialogue with your most entrusted ally (us) in private. The Iranians must be laughing their heads off every time they are talked about, how will you ever be able to do something with all this "bla bla" . Keep them in the dark.
9. Barak
John ,   Israel   (09.11.12)
Says the man who only weeks ago was hollering for an attach NOW! This guy is as slimy as they get, watch him Bibi!
10. Retreat Minister Barak
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.11.12)
Ehud the fearful said it was not wise to anger or offend Israel's chief god and idol." We must be good and obedient slaves to our Master and take the abuse" ,he said. We secular defeatist losers have no where else to go because we are faith challenged and so it is much easier for me to go and beg and pray to my god Obama for mercy with my special Washington White house knee pads on.
11. Bib is an idiot, perhaps even insane but Barak
David   (09.12.12)
is a poisonous snake. After he helped bibi climb to the top of the tree, he just pulled out the ladder...
12. BIBI betrayed the trust
Nicholas ,   Lagos Nigeria   (09.12.12)
Bibi didn't consider Israel when he made political move to involve in US politics. The world knows who Bibi supports in that election so why should Obama be worried about Bibi? The truth is that Obama has been able to position himself that Jewish Americans see him as committed to Israel security and not so good with the PM. Obama made his difference between him and the PM and not between the US and Israel. On this fight, Bibi will lose. Perhaps Bibi forgot that Adelson and Romney does not hold the card on US foreign policy but Obama does. Bibi is only getting a taste of his insult and I trust Obama to do what is important for Israel security. Bibi should get it that Obama doesn't bluff.
13. We're not stupid Mr Barak!
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (09.12.12)
Leaks only come out when it's in one's best interest. Our WH has been leaking like a submarine with a screen door lately. Obama is trying to get re-elected, reason for the leakS. Wikileaks has nothing on Washington, lol.
14. @ 1 you are right..
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (09.12.12)
Most Americans support Israel like it is a State in the US, however when a friend publicly demands red lines it is beyond comprehensible. Bibi has no idea what damage he is causing. If he decides to attack Iran he is going to need the US more than ever, and not just for military support. Actually by publicly humiliating every western nation he is dividing the very limited coalition that is in place now. You can't attack or take action against a country like Iran without a strong coalition and expect diplomatic and military support after the fact. I believe he is right in putting the Iranian threat in the headlines but his approach is mind boggling and pissing most Americans off like we are subservient to the State of Israel.
