Obama does not control the Arab street but he does control U.S. foreign policy and he's made a disaster out of it by punishing our friends and rewarding our enemies. Mubarak knew his days were numbered and he (like many Arab dictators) knows how to control the Arab street so that there might have been a peaceful transition to a non-extremist replacement. But President Barack Hussein Obama would have none of that. He wanted Muslim Brotherhood extremists, otherwise why has he been schmoozing them? This isn't rocket science Barry. You are quite correct. These days there are sharp limits to freedom of speech. Some cite the US Constitution, but it is an 18th century document with little relevance to conditions in the 21st century. The filmmaker must be vigorously prosecuted.

A hate crime constitutes an act of violence or intimidation against an individual in a protected group. A film cannot be a hate crime and to start ruling films as such would be a dangerous path to take.

I rarely agree with her, but for once she got it right. The film was made by two obscure jerks. The US govt has nothing to do with it -- except that it allows freedom of speech. What if the world began to hold muslims accountable for their horrible depictions of non-muslims (which they do all the time) and rioted and went after muslims in the streets? It would be a complete and total disaster for muslims: they wouldn't ever recover from such a series of events. But they would most certainly stop being so easily offended by such nonsense. I think the majority of the world is becoming openly belligerent against Islam and soon the powder keg will burst. I wouldn't want to be a muslim when it does (which almost certainly will happen). Every single day, all we've been reading about for decades is muslim terrorism. If it continues this way, people are gonna pop. And it won't be a nice sight. Muslims in the ME had better wake up and knock it off before this happens. Its gotten very tiresome and offensive to the point of enticing the worst in people to come out.

In the US you are totally allowed to use 'hate speech'; as deplorable as it is, it is 100% legal. The film is 'hate speech' NOT a hate crime. "Fighting words" can be prosecuted if spoken in a threatening way and in a continuous fashion but NEVER hate speech. Its never been and never will be prosecuted in the US. The First Amendment allows it 100%. Go learn the Law of the land: its all right there.

making such a lousy load of rubbish. I have seen this movie, and even though it seems they are trying to get over a message, the messenger feel by the wayside. We all saw Life of Brian, Jesus Christ Superstar, but didnt go on a blood letting rampage.....I wonder why, could it be that some folks are more civilized, while some do show that this terrible movie did have some truth.
