1. Road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.24.12)
How myopic of these Jews. Their intentions may be the best. However, they are endangering their communities and their own families. Soon we will hear of more terrorist attacks coming from new Arab towns, built by these fools. As the proverb says, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
2. #1 These Jews are the future of Israel
Yossef   (09.24.12)
3. Edge of cliff...
Niemand   (09.24.12)
Eliad Cohen should much rather care that the monsters he is talking with do not push him off the cliff as their oh so kind and sweet response to the "goodwill gesture". They are the enemy, after all.
4. This is the way real peace is made.
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (09.24.12)
Their goal isn't necessarily a 'state of their own' but decent housing and schools for their children.
5. A great insight into the complexities of the West Bank
Harmen Breedeveld ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (09.24.12)
Thank you Ynet for this article. We all read and talk about the conflict, the Jews vs Palestinians, settlers vs Peace Now, us vs. them. This article shows how things are always more complicated than they appear. And more nuanced as well. So thank you. I pray that the initiative becomes a success, and that this area will blossom, for all those living there.
6. The Hope
Zivron   (09.24.12)
This is the hope for the future as Islam is a parallel form of Judaism as is Christianity and bourgeoise humanism that in peace they can live and learn from each others hypothesis .
7. 99% of illegal settlements are arabs
Yoni the JEW ,   Jewish Homeland   (09.24.12)
almost all of the illegal settlements and expansions without permits are arab palestinians. Anyone who has ever been to Yehuda and Shomron knows how much construction there is among the arab settlements without any permits whatsoever. In Jerusalem neighborhoods the arabs can get away with building massive buildings without any permits whatsoever. The law only applies to Jews in this country....
8. Yea Chaim, and you won't daven in my shul either
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (09.24.12)
The chaims (talkback#1) of the world are always there to spit on people who do good. If the synagogue raised money in Chelm to build a wheelchair ramp, no doubt Chaim would insult the people doing it by pointing out how able bodied people will slip on the ramp and hurt themselves. As this Jew says...no proberb at all. Pissoff Chaim and keep your nose out of our business. We live here and this is how we do business. You would probably try to shut down the local Rami Levy because Arabs and Jews not only shop there together, they work there together too. Shame on you.
9. suicidal posers of altruism
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls   (09.25.12)
sowing more seeds for the destruction of your own people. Peres/Perske is so proud, he almost forgot about Iran's boomba. Coexistence is a four letter word in the language endemic to the genocidal mass murdering extortionists from the homicidal Hamite peninsular homeland of their own name
10. listen people,
Salma ,   Palestine   (09.25.12)
The only people who can give the jews the right to live in Palestine are Palestinians.
11. Selma...#10
dan ,   gush Etzion   (09.25.12)
Salma, are you suggesting that you would trample the rights of people to live where they want simply because of their religion? Palestinians are everyone who lived in the area prior to 1948, Jews Christians and muslims lived here, and they all have the right to live here..
12. Listen Salma...
(09.25.12)
You've got it backwards, trying to rewrite reality...rewrite history.. do you even know where the word "Palestine" comes from? I feel sorry for you being raised without truth. I pray that you will find it someday, because honestly, I think that's what Israel haters are so mad about; deep down in your heart, your own people have been lying to you.
13. To: Salma
Leon ,   Los Angeles, USA   (09.25.12)
If Palestinians would have accepted Jews as brothers in need of a home to begin with, there would be no conflict.
14. This shows that there is still hope.
exUK ,   Tel Aviv   (09.25.12)
It is gratifying that there ARE people who want peace and are willing to cooperate and live side by side. So,in contrast to the many extreme right wing haters on both sides ,I hope that progress is made.It seems that if we take away politicans, the chances of peace will be increased .It is also interesting to note that, contrarary to my beliefs, there are many non religious 'easier' people over the line who are there not for idealistic reasons but solely for economic reasons of cheaper housing;this,of course, encouraged by right wing governments to create 'facts on the ground'.
15. Let them have houses
Elon   (09.25.12)
They desperately need them. And I, for one, am happy for them. As for #1, even were that a concern, the houses are for people already living there. We need to take care of our people.
16. Chaya (#4)- True words!
Cohen,Israel   (09.26.12)
17. house guests?
Incredulous ,   Irvine, USA   (10.09.12)
that is like someone who barged into your house without permission to accept you as a guest and feed you, shelter you and love you, as if you committed no injustice.
18. I agree, Palestinians are Muslims, Christians and Jews
Incredulous ,   Irvine, USA   (10.09.12)
When did Salma claim otherwise? As such, her point still stands.
