Why are we still talking about this? I know many of our so called allies have huge investments in Iran. I don't see the commitment to prevention necessary to promote and enforce peace there. Where is the necessary investment from their largest investors to promote peace? Why are we always the world's police? Extremism is dangerous to the world. When the leadership of a nation is extremist, tragic things usually happen as we have already seen. Could have, should have, would have...patience...boom. Prevention?!! Where are the world leaders on Iran? China, Russia, Australia, Europe? The UN should never allow this kind of brutality. It is a pitiful display of cowardice. It appears the most important part of Obama's speech regarding Iran's plans to produce nuclear weapons is when he states that: "Make no mistake: a nuclear-armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained. It would threaten the elimination of Israel, the security of Gulf nations, and the stability of the global economy....." If this statement is not a temporary posture eyeing the coming elections, then the US determination to prevent a nuclear Iran is solid. However, US reliance on endless & fruitless diplomacy backed by ineffective sanctions is not proving to be a means to stop or delay the progress of Iran towards reaching its objectives.

His red line does not preclude the destruction of Israel. If Israel is to survive, it is up to Israel to take whatever action is necessary. Obama won't.
