... that our decision makers do not already know. That doesn't mean that *they* won't consider other factors and lead in a different direction.
2. Do Not Be Deceived
Ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (10.03.12)
Morsi is thecface of the Egyptian Brotherhood. Merely because he wears western style clothing does not make him a democrat. He represents the same old Arabs who do not accept a Jewish presence in the Middle East. Unfortunately the Obama Administration wants to cater to Muslim interests to the exclusion of the Jewish people in general and Israel specifically. Obama's headset hears Morsi, all the while blocking out the sounds of Israel. Morsi will try to manipulate the Jewish people with implied threats and if that does not work we will see threats of bellacosity from him. A cold peace with Egypt was always preferable to war, but Egypt cannot afford another war and the angry retoric of Morsi and his ilk should not give Egypt through words what it lost through wa.
3. Morsi is ABSOLUTELY deceiving.

4. Knowing the Israeli Left-wing Lunatics, they'll be screaming
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.03.12)
soon for "Renegotiations for Peace" !! Egyptian tank divisions in Sinai will be a "small price" to pay for another piece of paper signed by the "moderate" Morsi.... etc. Been there, heard that.
5. Oh, I wouldn't worry
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.03.12)
Morsi is trying to galvanize the Egyptian people, who are beginning to question the wisdom of having gotten rid of Mubarak. Israel's a favorite target, of course. Depending upon just how much Morsi is governed by fanatical Islamic belief or realpolitik -- he hasn't fooled anyone, least of all the decision-makers in Israel. Israel can shut Egypt down in no time at all, and Morsi knows it. He just has to decide what's more important -- placating the local population or antagonizing Israel beyond the tipping point. Iran's not the only country that has to worry about Israel's red lines.
6. Antisemites never visit Israel.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (10.03.12)
Morsi, Obama, Queen Elisabeth and other jew haters are like cats invited to take a bath in a swimming pool.
7. Sadly true and already predicted in 1980 by Moshe Arens
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (10.03.12)
who was demonized for telling the truth... we have the same peace with syria that we have with egypt... only with syria most jews do not delude themselevs about 'piss'
8. What's wrong with netanyahu
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (10.03.12)
extending the hand of friendship and travelling to Cairo? Why must everything be done solely on Israel's terms?
9. camp david accords
forehead1 ,   usa   (10.03.12)
The first agreement had three parts. The first part or preamble was a framework for negotiations to establish an autonomous self-governing authority in the West Bank and the Gaza strip and to fully implement SC 242. as this section has not been met ---- is the agreement null?

11. SECURE BIG ISRAEL, Sinai back, nonviolent transfer, BALANCE.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (10.03.12)
12. The root of all this evil is Israel's retreat from Sinai.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
The root of all Israel's problems with Egypt, like virtually all Israel's problems in general, is an Israeli retreat. Had we kept Sinai, Egypt would not be a problem today. Iran would be a much lesser problem because it couldn't view us as a "one bomb state". Israel's policy should be to retake Sinai, and all our abandoned lands, permanently.
13. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.03.12)
1. Well, what do you expect? Egypt attacked the State of Israel on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. How would YOU feel if Israel were to attack Egypt on Eid? 2. You must understand that we kicked Egypt's ass, and took a strip of land on the West Bank of the Canal, with nothing standing between the Israeli Defense Forces and Cairo. Don't delude yourself that it could not happen again. Except if it does, we probably won't give it back. 3. Right. VERY peaceful by nature, are the Egyptians. Do you think we don't remember the attack upon the Israeli Embassy? Or the attack upon the United States Embassy? No one was trying to "take away" your land then; how do you account for the violence? For that matter, how do you account for the violence in Tahrir Square? Or the rape of an American journalist? Is all that your idea of non-violence? It certainly isn't mine. 4. Feel free to love whomever you wish. You need to convince others -- and then perhaps tourists will visit Egypt again. Have you noticed that Egypt's tourism industry is pretty much non-existent these days? Why do you suppose that is? Think about it some.
14. # 12
Stan ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
Idiot ! "retake all our abandoned lands" Do you mean "from the Nile to the Euphrates" ?
15. #14. All the land Israel liberated and than foolishly ceded.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
#14. Stan. Please refraim from puerile name calling. I thought your were above that. By "all our abandoned lands", I'm referring to all the lands Israel liberated, in defensive wars, and foolishly ceded to our enemies. These concessions are the root source of vitually all Israel's worst problems.
16. Hagai Segal
Stan ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
In 1980 he was a member of a Jewish underground terrorist group He was jailed for involvement in the attacks on Palestinian civilians. In these attacks people died and other were injured. PS I am not referring to Hagai M Segal who lives in London
17. Morsi
Stan ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
Has done more to fight terror in Sinai in the short time since he was elected, than the previous regime did in years
18. Egyptian Nuke?
Avi ,   USA   (10.03.12)
You can have the nurse wipe Sharon's Axx with the peace treaty. Egypt is an enemy. Soon you will see more attacks from south and Egypt will enhance their nuke program. Egypt is back as an existential threat to Israel don't kid yourself.
19. Hagai Segal participating in the national pastime: whinning.

too little, now too much. now too little
20. There ought to be more people like #12
Israeli 2   (10.03.12)
(I am refering to Chaim) as Israelis and their leadership. Those opposing his views are not bright but rather obtuse.
21. To Chaim, N 12 and 15
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (10.04.12)
Brother Chaim. I don't want to bore you. But listen. Israel was founded through the best principles. Your State is decent. We admire her because of it. So, I dare to repeat: "Sinai belongs to Egypt, like Negev to Israel, Crete to Greece, Corse to France, Alaska to U.S, etc". International Law deserves respect. Out of it, there is only war, chaos and oppression. Of course, if Egypt attacks again, Israel will be legitimated to cross the border. Personally, I doubt that it occurs.
