1. Maybe I'm bitter...
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (10.03.12)
I'm glad these Jews were able to celebrate, but in reality I think they should be abandoned. I know it sounds callous, but if Jews continue to insist upon living in such hostile countries when Israel welcomes them with open arms, then they should be left to fend for themselves. When the US starts oppressing Jews like this, I'll be first on the plane to make aliyah. I believe in charity and helping my fellow man (Jew or not), but this is completely self-inflicted and I have no sympathy for their plight. This was more of an act to spurn the oppressors than to relieve the oppressed.
2. Amichai , maybe it's IMPOSSIBLE for them

to leave .
3. Jews in Iran and Syria
NYC Girl   (10.04.12)
Frankly, any Jew who's living in these countries has a much more difficult problem than whether or not they're able to appropriately celebrate Sukkot.
4. The Noble Jews of Iran
AA ,   UK   (10.04.12)
Even though the rabbi’s concerns are understandable, let me tell you the Jews of Iran are a part of our national treasure highly protected and respected by the ordinary man and woman in Iran including the facilitation of supply in far better quality of the Citreous or other religious supplies that the respected rabbi can supply clandestinely. I am sure the readers who may have come across the ordinary Iranians have experienced the vast contrast to their fascist leaders of Iran, that is why you still have a sizable Jewish community in Iran.
5. save yourselves and leave Iran!
