1. Another blatant lie from Ehud Barak
Alan Eigenstein ,   Edgewater, NJ   (10.03.12)
How does Barak get away with this grotesque lie that he is the one advising Israel not to take sides in the US presidential election? It was Barak about a month ago who explicitly, publicly endorsed Barack Obama for re-election. Netanyahu is doing Israel great harm by not firing Barak immediately and making Y'aalon defense minster.
2. Fire Barak. Bibi has no excuse to keep him.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.03.12)
Bibi must own up to his grave error in inviting Barak into the government. Hardly anyone wanted him even when he lead Labor. Barak is sabotaging the government and Israel's safety and rights. Fire him now.
3. Manufactured crisis to reestablish Good Cop, Bad Cop PSYWAR
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (10.03.12)
...against allies, enemies, own people, now that "hold me back" is over.
4. So many Ministers, not enough to do.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.03.12)
5. Netanyahu would never get rid of Barak
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (10.03.12)
They are playing good cop bad cop in order to try and heal the relationship between Netanyahu and the President of the United States, having realised he is likely to win the next election. Netanyahu realises that the one thing above all else the Israel people expect of their Prime Minister is the maintenance of a strong relationshuip between Israel and the United States. The ghost of Yitzhak Shamir is tapping Netanyahu on the shoulder, and he is running around in a blind panic. Which is why he is threatening to throw his toys out of the pram and call a snap election, before Novemberss American elections. The S**t is about to hit the fan and Netanyahu knows it
6. #5 London: Smart, much better than your American namesake.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.03.12)
Barak made a very bad PM but has been the best DM in Israeli history under Netanyahu. They are symbiotic team which is good for Israel technically, whether you agree with policies or not. Obama will be reelected and the fan will be throwing a lot of sh*t, as you say. It will the take the best brains Israel has to keep the relationship with the U.S. going, without which Israel is lost.
7. Netanyahu and Barak
Jonathan Buttall ,   Irvington, USA   (10.03.12)
Since Barak was the only official in Israel that supported Bibi's desire to attack Iran, a proposal opposed by the Israeli Military and most of it's government, it looks like it was all just a bluff. There will be no attack on Iran.
8. #6 Any more predictions, pundit?
Jake   (10.04.12)
Counting one's chickens before they hatch is a risky proposition, wouldn't you agree? Obama will be re-elected? Really? So sure? Can you honestly say that after Obama's shell game failed him miserably during the debate with Romney last night? Obama was no longer on the stump and was forced to confront his opponent mano-a-mano for the first time. No teleprompter. No partisan minions at his side. And his opponent ground him into a patty.
