1. Barak
Eddy ,   Haifa, Israel   (10.05.12)
Just get out of our lives, we are sick of you and your warped egocentric personality
2. There are many farcical aspects
Sagi ,     (10.05.12)
to Israeli society and to the general ethos and conduct of government and bureaucracy. The greatest farce of them all is the electoral system, the plethora of parties, most of which have no ideology, and the ensuing chaos lasting for four years after each election. This is the root of all evils and maladies in Israel and until it is surgically excised there will be no peace and no prosperity and indeed no secure future for Israel.
3. Barak, Livni, Lapid, Ramon...
A ,   Belgium   (10.05.12)
The future continues to look bleak in Israeli politics
4. why should the likud let the little rat barak run as likud?
jack bauer   (10.05.12)
he has never acted in defense i=of Israel. He is a bought and sold traitor
5. Likud is not lifeline for failed leftists.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.05.12)
Barak belongs in a leftist party. Likud is not the lifeline for failed leftists. Likud was founded to be a patriotic, vehemently right wing party. Even a cursory reading of Likud's Constitution proves that.
6. Barak
Steve a ,   manchester England   (10.05.12)
So the former Labour PM want a top slot within Likud! Reminds me of Groucho Marx when he said '' these are my principles. If you don't like them I have others ''
7. Likuds the closest to a political home Barak has now
zionist forever   (10.05.12)
Bibi & Baak get on well together and Barak's dreams of ever holding the Premiership again are gone but he just wants a senior political position ( he likes defines ). He has left Labor and they do't want him back. Kadima is going into meltdown next election. Yair Lapid is almost certainly going to be running one of the largest parties but he probably won't win the election so can't promise him a ministerial post which is all he wants. Barak's own party wont win a single seat. Livni of course wants to return to politics but as she also dreams of being PM one day but how can she do that if she joins a party built around 1 man. He hasn't told us much about what it stands for other than haredi bashing only that its Yair Lapid's baby and with out him & his fame running things the party will fold like Shinui did. Livni will form her own party and she will attract all her own Kadima supporters who felt let down by Mofaz. She will gain a decnt number of seats & probably enough to be invited into somebody elses coalition which is the first stage on the ladder to the top.
8. israelis do not want barak
marcel   (10.05.12)
in 2001, israel told barak they do not want him anymore and they did so resoundingly. He did not fight west bank terror and offered chamberlain concessions. The only one who wanted him was olmert when he got into huge trouble with peretz and nasrolllah. After his hiring, he was against syrian hit, offered concessions to abbas, messed up the marmora, went down on his knees to apologize to turkey for them attacking us and now offers unilateral withdrawal. Israelis do not want this failed defence minsiter. yaalon is far better than him, far better. Ehud, leave defence and go away, jsut go away.
9. Who is Ehud Barak?
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (10.06.12)
Honestly, who is this man? Does he have no beliefs or ideology of his own at all???
