1. Funny or not ....
Sarah ,   in Israel that time   (10.07.12)
flying for 20 minutes over populated Israeli areas, an army base and near sensitive facilities such as the Dimona reactor.
2. The Lebanese Are So Naive
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (10.07.12)
So Hezbollah will launch explosives-laden drones at Israel. The problem is that in the next war they won't have a country left from which to launch them.
3. Copying the Nazis London blitz?
Shep ,   Memphis, TN - USA   (10.07.12)
It's never a good idea to underestimate your enemies, but let's be realistic: If Iran had the capability to shoot down Israeli drones, they would have done it over Lebanon. Israel is a leader in drone technology and obviously their defense works fine. All Israel has to do is have their Navy ships with laser guided missiles to intercept these toys as they enter Israeli airspace from Lebanese airspace. I bet the next launching site in Lebanon of another toy will vaporize. This lapse of security on the part of the IDF was an awakening and we should thank Iran for the heads up!
4. If the other side is looking for ways
A ,   Belgium   (10.07.12)
"to rattle the State of Israel's nerves", I hope our side will soon have a minister of defense who will not only rattle Iranian/arab nerves but who will also cause the walls and ceilings to crumble and fall on their heads. Until that time and until that person comes into office, I feel sorry for what Israel has to call a "defense minister".
5. #2 Bill

10. #1 Enjoy your last days in Israel
Paco ,   Canada   (10.07.12)
just stay there when the war breaks out, its gona be the last war for Israeel.
11. You forget that Iran took control the USA's top-secret drone
David ,   Hartford USA   (10.07.12)
and landed it safely. That top-secret machine has now been reverse engineered and that technology will show up in the next drones - that probably will get through. What if a hundred of these things came over at once- dropping anthrax in the water supply? Is Israel prepared for that? A drone flies at slow speed- a helicopter should have captured the drone intact. C'mon Israel, these are the easy assaults that you can make work for you. I don't think you take these things seriously.
12. please can Barak and replace with yaalon
the mad zionist ,   sf-ny-is   (10.07.12)
i know Netanyahu likes Barak with him so he can be a mediator with Obama, but he's incompetent, plus he'll turn on you in a second. please announceyaalon as DM because Barak is only looking out for himself and his cookies. yaalon atleast will take his job seriously! Jake
13. Do the Iranians read our talkbacks??
Ben   (10.07.12)
hopefully they do. Just a message, dont get too excited. You have money for all this nuclear and drones while the people are hungry..SHAME on your dictatorship!!
14. To N 10.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (10.07.12)
You are mistaken. Israel will never be destroyed. Beyond her military forces, She belongs not only to Jewish people, but to all Democratic and Humanistic world's citizenship. The Arab and Persian world will not be destroyed either. All Middle East will survive, but without dictatorial, oppressive and intolerant rulers.
15. Wouldn't it make far more sense ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.12)
... to eliminate Hezbollah now? No one is coming to their rescue, least of all Syria or Iran. Syria has its hands full, and Iran is too busy licking its wounds after the spanking the Revolutionary Guard received in Syria. Plus, Iran's leadership will have a VERY difficult time explaining intervening in a conflict in Lebanon. And Syria is not so foolish as to use nonconventional weapons against Israel. Israel will simply return the favor, and Syria will disappear -- forever. Strike while the iron is hot. Iran cannot intervene; Syria cannot intervene. Turkey will not intervene because it does not wish to alienate NATO and it is far too busy trying to manage things on its border with Syria and its borders with Iraq and Iran. Hamas will -- wisely -- choose to sit on its hands. They're smart enough to steer very clear of this conflict. And this time -- for heaven's sake -- forget collateral damage. Hezbollah is a cancer that must be excised, even at the cost of healthy cells. Sorry, but that's just the way it works. Neutralize Hezbollah now, and they won't be a problem down the road, when -- as is inevitable -- Israel must act pre-emptively against Iran. An argument may even be made that without being able to count on Hezbollah, Iran becomes far less likely to act against Israel (they can't, actually; they don't have the missiles that can fly the requisite distance). But they do have missiles with the legs to reach U.S. naval vessels in the Gulf and U.S. bases in Iraq, Qatar. Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Muscat. Of course, it would be daylight madness for Iran to challenge the United States, but they cannot reach Israel. They ESPECIALLY will not be able to "reach" Israel if Hezbollah is out of the picture. But the powers-that-be in Teheran are growing desperate. An Iranian friend told me that his family in Teheran -- living in the northern suburbs, arguably the wealthiest area of Teheran -- are hurting. He likened it to the final days of the Weimar Republic, when people would literally go out to buy a single loaf of bread with a wheelbarrow full of money. So Iran is in very bad shape. The best way to make sure that their situation worsens is to eliminate Hezbollah. Will there be Israeli casualties? Unless Israel decides to employ unconventional weapons -- yes. But there are two very basic rules of war. Rule No. 1: People will die -- soldiers, innocent civilians. Rule No. 2: There is nothing that can be done about Rule No. 1. My family was pretty much decimated in the Holocaust, so I don't have family members in the IDF (unless you count my husband and myself, and if war breaks out, we will be on the first flight we can get). My husband's family on the other hand, is very large, with a substantial number serving in combat units and as fighter pilots. I am not warmongering, and I have not arrived at my conclusions lightly. One last point: Don't look to any strike upon Hezbollah to galvanize the Islamic world, any more than a strike upon Iran would galvanize the Islamic world. Trust me -- no self-respecting Sunni Moslem is willing to die for a Shiite Moslem. And I don't exactly see any countries sending troops. Even if they wanted to, they're way too afraid of Israel.
16. #10 Paco's Tacos....
RichInBoston ,   Boston USA   (10.07.12)
Mr. Paco, you should stick to making your tacos and leave such military predictions to those who know how to read and write. In an all out war, Israeli planes will be circling Tehran in hours. Their most advanced aircraft, the F4 phantom, was an excellent fighter in the early 1970's. So dear idiot, please make mine with some extra lettuce and tomato, Oh, and not too spice! Thanks!
17. #12
DavidR ,   USA   (10.07.12)
I have a much better idea. Fire Barak and give Lieberman a duel Ministry of Defense and Foreign Minister. That should wake the arab world up.
18. @9 Edithann dont you have some pride parade to attend?
Mike ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
19. #10 Paco your so brave why dont you
Mike ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
go back from where you came from and then add your BS
20. #11 David thanks for the advise
Mike ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
Are you suggesting that if Iran does infact drop anthrax in the water supply Israel should respond with wiping out Iran via nuclear bombs. Should we preempt and just do it now?? C'mon get serious son. Its going to play out exactly as Israel wants no other factor will be taken into account.
21. Russian help or Pakistan help to build the iranian UAV?
(10.07.12)
22. Edithann # 9
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (10.07.12)
Nobody can pump out more BS than you can.
23. Paco # 10
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (10.07.12)
How many times have the Arabs said that now? It's getting old Paco. Are you practicing for Baghdad Bob's old job? I hate to dissapoint you but that job is no longer available.
24. # 22..How could that be Eagleshnoz..I'm not Jewish! TATA
Edithann ,   USA   (10.07.12)
25. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.12)
You are completely crazy. Here's a news flash: Should Israel ever to feel that its continued existence is no longer assured (granted, not very likely), Israel will unleash its nuclear arsenal upon the world. All of it. In other words -- we're not going alone. We're taking a billion or two or three of you with us, and we will render what's left of the planet uninhabitable for the next 100,000 years. Of this, you may be certain.
26. To: David at No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.07.12)
What do you suppose would happen to Iran were Israel to drop one teaspoonful of botulin toxin in Iran's water supply? Not the variety used in botox treatments, mind you. I'm talking about one undiluted teaspoonful of the most toxic substance on earth. Anthrax is NOTHING compared to botulism.
27. accelerate davids sling \ magic wand!
zionoid entity ,   occupied kanata   (10.07.12)
Israel has amazing technology on the horizon like Davids sling air defence system and iron dome but those systems need to be accelerated because without the critical mass they will not make a difference. Perception will win the next war. The delay in iron fist active protection's implementation (mini iron domes for armoured vehicles) will cost hundreds of soldiers lives and give hizbollah cause for celebration. Both sides will incur losses but if israel interceps most missiles and lebanon and gaza are exposed to the full force of the IDF deterence will be restored.
28. #15 and #18: GREAT. I agree
Israeli 2   (10.07.12)
29. Got to love the IDF spin on this...
Thomas the Doubter ,   USA   (10.07.12)
I know some commenters here don't believe this but I do support Israel and wish her well. However, the IDF spin on this incident is ridiculous. An aircraft takes off from an enemy state (Lebanon), the Israeli military tracks it from the moment it begins its flight, it crosses into Gaza airspace (which Israel still controls) from the Med, then they wait until it's a few miles from Dimona (after the thing has crossed over several military installations presumably transmitting intel the entire way) before they shoot it down. And this incident is portrayed as some sort of incredible success??!!! There was a failure in here somewhere, probably at the top decision making level, i.e. Bibi and Barak.
30. To:#11
Bigizz ,   USA / Israel   (10.07.12)
To #11. You forgot that Israel has Nuclear Capabilities.. Trust me Isreal has allways had the upper hand. Peace with Israel will be only made through recognizing the Jewish State and direct negotiating. We will see who has better toys and technolgy and orginization to dictate if unillateral moves are conducted by a hostal country in the region. County's with Drons and Rockets vs Country with Nuclear Capabilities? Come now you have a little comonsence, i think? Whats your answer?? I thought so.....(Drons are toy's. I just got one from Toy's Are Us for my kids,). Rememmber Israel has a BUTTON that can eliminate and flatted everything around her.. Peace with Israel or stay were you are.. Dont forget Israel is allways moving forward and the people fighting Israel move backward!!. Gaza's people still live in refugee camps for the last 60 years..Born, Raised, Lived, and died in Refugee camps for the last 60 years. This out come will not be unillaterally decided...Peace will only be made through direct negotiations with Israel..... If you want to see the Palistinians move forward then they must sit down and talk real peace..Otherwise, keep laying down and roll over. End.
