1. flying for 20 minutes
Sarah ,   in Israel   (10.07.12)
flying for 20 minutes over populated Israeli areas, an army base and near sensitive facilities such as the Dimona reactor.
2. Iran's Drone
Carlos Camacho ,   Brazil   (10.07.12)
Obviously, the Iron Dome is not intended to get low velocity targets as this. Furthermore, IDF was observing and part of the time controlling the drone. No fails in the Israeli defense, at all.
3. Good if the Iranians are as stupid to believe it
Alex   (10.07.12)
It'll make gunning down an eventual Iranian attack well in time easy due to the Iranians thinking they're invincible. Stupid however that the IAF didn't shoot down the UAV imideately instead of just intercepting it with F-16's for almost 30mins.
4. Unexpected intruder drone
Arnold ,   Canada   (10.07.12)
I am curious how the IDF will handle this revelation that the neigbors now have this new technology.
5. Israel sends five or six a day over South Lebanon
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (10.07.12)
They had to show they were also capable, although I doubt we'll be seeing any more in the foreseeable future.
6. Now what?
new_york_loner ,   Rochester, NY   (10.07.12)
7. Typical repsonse by the DefenseLESS Minister
A ,   Belgium   (10.07.12)
...send some jets to make noise and break some windows. I'm sure Hizbollah will be begging for mercy after that one, Ehud "Creampuff" Barak.
8. Drone
Daniel J. ,   NY, US   (10.07.12)
First, let me say that I enjoy reading Ynetnews, however some of my written contributions have not been published something that has me puzzled because I am not offensive nor do I attack other posters. Nevertheless, I feel obligated to defend Israel when I read something offensive towards it. I like to use historical context and keep down hostility to a minimum, and yet half of my posts do not get published. Yet, any antisemite is allowed to spew lies using this forum, which is Israeli and I, who always defend Israel get shut out. Is that what Ynetnews does to others who love Israel and are always defending it??? As far as Iran's mocking Israel's detection systems, IAF could've shot down the drone upon detection, but once deemed to be unarmed Israel decided to study it and gather information before destroying it. That's part of intelligence.
9. How much?
new_york_loner ,   Rochester, NY   (10.07.12)
How much will a state-of-the-art anti-drone defense shield for the Jewish state cost the US taxpayers? The hugely expensive Iron Dome and Arrow systems are not enough, or so it appears; Howard Berman and Ros-Lehtinen will have to hold an emergency session of Congress...to pump more billions into defending Th. Herzl's experiment in faith-based and race-based colonialism in Palestine. This is ridiculous....pull the plug, the experiment has failed.
10. WELL KNOWN TO CAUSE............#7
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (10.07.12)
Civilian casualties in Gaza, your suggestion is very much in line.
11. #9 You're disqusting
Alex   (10.07.12)
Racist fool
12. Is this the drone that Obuma let loose?
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (10.07.12)
How many more secrets has he given away!!!!
13. Replay of the Kerem Shalom Crossing fiasco
George ,   Ashdod   (10.07.12)
The entire incident is frankly scary--what if the drone had had chemical or biological weapons? Why in the world did the IDF allow the drone to fly over Israel? Certainly not for the idiotic reason given about hitting populated areas. More likely, the IDF didn't know about the drone until it was already somewhere over Israel. This is the Kerem Shalom crossing fiasco all over again. No one in Israel should feel very safe with the Barak-Gantz IDF in charge.
14. How much don't you know in Rochester?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.07.12)
"Race-based" colonialism? That's why we have black and white Jews here, right? And 20% Arabs, right? Is there something in the water in Rochester, or you just a lousy writer?
15. #9 Mahmoud
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (10.07.12)
Agreed. US policies in the Middle East have failed. You should immediately stop sending any money to the Middle East, not to Israel and not to the Arab colonists. Look how much money US dumped into Egypt, all gone, the weapons used for Jihad. About $5 billion to turn Libya into a wasteland, the weapons turned over to Jihad. All the money you dumped into Gaza, turned over to Hamas. All the money to Fatah, gone to buy Abbas shoes and palaces in France, while Hamas are taking over.
16. That drone may have saved Israeli lives
zionist forever   (10.07.12)
The Iranian media is 100% correct when they say the drone infiltration exposes Israeli weaknesses. This drone has proven Israel has weaknesses in that area and so now we can do something to fix those weaknesses make sure it can't happen again. Better to be embarrassed through the exposure of weaknesses during peacetime so we can do something about them rather than avoid embarrassment now and allow the weaknesses to be exploited in war. WHOEVER SENT IT THANK YOU

andy ,   cannock uk   (10.07.12)
Im sure the Jews will "give back" Israel to the arabs the day after you Yanks give the USA back to its rightful owners. Idiot.
18. Drone
philimax ,   USA   (10.07.12)
Daniel #8 - You are not the only one that gets blocked by Ynetnews. Many of my inoffensive remarks were never published as well. And, yes, they do print offensive material just as soon as its posted. Makes one wonder?
19. Danial # 8
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (10.07.12)
Part of the problem of your not getting posted could be the time difference. If you submit a post when Ynet is closed or it is their sabbath nothing is going to happen. A lot of the time I don't think it is personal. I don't know how many people they have working on posts but sometimes I think a post gets recieved by one of the grumpy ones or one that just happens to be in a bad mood. Keep trying Daniel.
20. Iranian drone looks like the Estes model rockets
(10.07.12)
my brother used to build in the 1970s---LOL
21. #9 you just don't get it
south of rochester ,   usa   (10.07.12)
Zionism wasn't some "experiment" given to the Jews buy others. Read a little about Zionism before you show us how ignorant you are.

Orlando ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (10.07.12)
Very good answer.
23. #8. Daniel: Others noticed it too
Tom W ,   USA   (10.07.12)
Pro Israeli, factual, educational posts are frequently deleted but the resident antisemites' venomous conniptions are not.
24. #8 Daniel J.-I'm with you
the mad zionist ,   sf-ny-is   (10.07.12)
there has been numerous times where i corrected someone and i obviously wouldn't curse or say anything offensive, and its never posted, but then i right something like this and it gets posted. if ynet is willing to post all the non factual comments from people then they should not censor anything, especially the ones correcting thesel lies. they should only block ones that have curses in them, or not, but don't block the ones that are trying to correct the falsehoods.
25. #11
Harold ,   USA   (10.07.12)
# 9 is completely right. How much money the US taxpayers paid and paying.
26. wnd.com says the drone was from Iran and was likely
Rivkah   (10.07.12)
heading toward Dimona, Israel's nuclear complex.
27. #9 NY loner - Apperantly the US tax payer has
Mike ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
waisted its money on educating you. Here is a news flash loner, any US tax payer spent on missile defense shield was for one purpose only and that is the US equal billing and rights to purchase at a discount per unit as has been done, it was certainly not for the well bing of Israel. In addition, since your under the impression that your well informed, let me ask you this, when Iran shot down a highly secret US drone why is it that you and the rest of your muslim friends dint consider that an American victory for penatrating Iran air space as your presently doing? I dont want to waste anymore of my time trying to inform you of what realy happend, it would be a great waste of time. I will suggest you stay tuned.
28. #8 Daniel, the last part of your post is accurate.
Mike ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
Most of the talkbacks seem to read and believe what they wish rather than making an effort to understand, oh well. I wonder why when Iran shot down the US drone all the muslims including Iran celebrated a victory, not one post expressed any question as to why the US drone penatrated the air space to begin with. Typical Muslim reaction and I prefer it stays this way. In addition as you corectly stated once it was decided that the drone was unarmed and unable to send back live feeds the order was givin to let it fly to learn of its capabilities and range, shooting it out of the sky over the ocean would of made it imposible to retrive therefore once over land it was shot down and remains collected to be studied. If Iran is under the impresion that we have a weakness we in Israel say let them think this and try to enter with something more capable of doing damage and see what the results would be.
29. Some talkbacks here seems just as much idiots
Arlene ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
as the Iranians. We know Iran cares nothing for its citizens, where Israel does, thus the escort to a safe area where the drone could be "downed" ... There is always a reason for what Israel decides to do...oh maybe next time we can guide it all the way to Gaza before bringing it down. BTW no one has taken down their Succas early and we all continue to enjoy the holiday!! Hag Samach

Joemoer ,   Israel   (10.07.12)
I agree totally with your post ..I live in israel and also try to put my point across and not offend people and my posts get blocked ...something fishy going on here when anti Semites get to write what they want and we cannot reply
