I wouldn't argue with Einstein about physics, but here he's below his intellectual capabilities. "Primitive legends": Torah was written for humans, so that they understand it and emotionally connect to it. It is childish to expect it to be written in relativistic and quantum mechanic formulas. Still, it carries strong moral messages, which were unknown to other peoples of that time. Which brings us to the "chosen people": Somehow it happened that Jews carried these moral messages to other peoples; messages which form the basis of what we today call "civilization".

Einstein was known as a genius, but his genius was in physics. He seemed to have difficulty in other fields such as human relationships such as politics and marriage. So to take his genius and extrapolated it into religion, is as foolish as taking a doctor's advice on the stock market or going to your stock broker to get advice on your medical ailment.

THE INTUITIVE MIND might be his vision of the soul. A letter about his above comment would be worth something,while this for sale letter, is the opinion of a genius in science who has no clue about Jewish religion,and is consequently worthless.

Einstein came from a very assimilated family and had virtually no religious education this should be part of his religious equation
