1. Boycott the elections, don't vote, don't waste your time.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.10.12)
Hagai is absolutely correct. Israel has politicians who don't care to waste, MK's who are bored to tears while endless political tasks go unaccomplished. For instance, if politicians wanted something worthwhile to do in Israel, they would write a constitution for the state. Or, they could use four years to figure out how to make the government last four years.
2. Bored - - then do something
Miche Norman ,   Hod Hasharon   (10.10.12)
In four years Netanyahu's government has done next to nothing - apart from reducing our international position to the worst ever, continuing the insane subsidizing of ultra-orthodox birth rates - hastening the day in which we are faced with the choice between civil war and theocracy. The real question about the next elections is will we have a zionist coalition that wants a democratic state?
3. Bibi did already a coalision for the current term
Keren ,   IL-BR   (10.10.12)
in order to have voted what needed to be voted. What is that now that his "coalision"is refusing to vote in block what is needed? DonĀ“t these people have responsability to honor a commitment already made? Are they joking in the Knesset? Are they joking with Israel? What kind of people are they?
4. unnecessary elections
Iletzter ,   TA- Israel   (10.10.12)
One of the major achievements of the elections might be to get rid of Barak.
5. Of course: "unnecessary" since the Lunatic Left is in for a
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.10.12)
smack on the tuches!
6. I just want the day off - won't be voting for anyone
Talula ,   Israel   (10.10.12)
The entire Knesset are an embarassment !
7. Bibi has the "largest, most stable" coalition ever
Bruno   (10.10.12)
and a hugely bloated government, and he can't even pass his budget. So how exactly are elections going to change this for the better? What will he be able to do AFTER the elections that he can't do now? This is simply more proof that this guy is incapable of governing the country. The sooner we get rid of him the better.
8. #7 ummm....and put who instead?
Keren ,   IL-BR   (10.10.12)
9. To no.7 a pitty you dont analize a political move
Ari ,   Jerusalem   (10.10.12)
If the ekections are held today most probably Nataniahu-Likud will gain 4 to 5 seats more in the Kneseth =34 Israel beiteiu will get at least 18 and Religous Zionists at least 12 that will give us 64 seats enough to make a government. with less presures. Kadima wont get more than 12 labor maybe 12 andd meretz 3 the arabs 5 seats and Yair Lapid maybe 12 that is 42 even if shas goes to this block they might get in best of circumstances 10 so the whole left is leftwill be 52 MK best scenario. Did you get the picture??? There is a posibility that Shas will return to the coalition less demanding which will give the new government 74 MK. Barak wont get a seat. Unless Nataniahu accepts him in Likud just to balance International opinion. If Olmert comes back with Kadima we might have a second clown in the kneset with Livni
10. #9
(10.10.12)
Why Arabs only 5? They have 11 now.
11. what if Likud lose the election ?
zionist forever   (10.10.12)
This article is based on the fact that Likud is going to win the election and so the government is going to have to approve Bibi's budget. Right now Bibi is more unpopular than he has been in a long time because he failed to reform the Tal Law which the seculars are furious about. Taxes going up to pay for both the social justice spending and to keep the economy stable during this period of economic slowdown but nobody likes it when they have to pay more tax. There is sadly a very good chance we will be seeing Shelly Yachimovicth leading a Labor, Lapid, Meretz, Kadima coalition who won't increase the taxes. They will as is traditional with israeli socialist governments borrow money for Mr Social Justice, slash the military budget year in year out till the army can barely function and of course sign toilet paper treaties with Syria & the PA. Thats what you get when you get socialist idealist economics rather than responsible economics.
12. Bibi is leaving because he's afraid
Gabriel ,   Jerusalem   (10.11.12)
Chicken, doesn't want the burden of war over his head. He has been warning for years and now he'll get out. Just to come back some years afterwards and say - I said so. And we'll forget and vote him again - and he'll continue robing and robing with his lobby friends... Such a shame Israel has been converted into a BANANA REPUBLIC.
