1. deterrence
Iletzter ,   TA- Israel   (10.11.12)
IDF continues his policy of bombing some unused empty building. I suppose this is useful for target practice - but has no real relevance to detterence.
2. Enough is enough
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (10.11.12)
as the great statesman said. The whole world is laughing on Israel ! I suggest two alternatives 1. To do nothing after arab attacks. It would prove how peace loving Israel is. 2. The 2 kilometer area from where rockets were launched must be gunned with large caliber hovitzers for an hour. It would prove how strong Israel is. But the present system with half a million $ air strike is a moronic nonsense.
3. Misquoted IDF statement
Yored X   (10.11.12)
It should read: "The IDF will tolerate any and all attacks on the Jewish population and will continue to either a) do nothing or b) bomb a few empty tunnels."
4. all what loser Barak is capable of,bombing of empty field

How many Israelis killed by Hamas missiles? How many Palestinians killed by Israeli army raids?

it's not the body count that matters but the disrupting of normal life in the whole area. Consider a handicapped person or an elderly person cannot reach the shelter within 15 seconds and is in constant trauma! It's as if people were killed... because they panick all the time. You should not listen only to the progaganda of body count because many of the dead are "soldiers" of the different terror groups and they are soldiers all the way, they even get a salry for being part of the terror system... and a better on than being just in a "civilian job".
7. #5..Ask the Government of whatever country you Rskulking in

if it is OK for 55 mortars and rockets to be fired on its territory
8. To: No. 5

Then it behooves Hamas and other terrorist elements operating in Gaza to curb their enthusiasm, doesn't it? Just because Israel has more effective equipment and better trained personnel doesn't mean it should adopt a hands-off attitude. In fact, keeping in mind that Israel can roll over the Strip in no time at all, I would say that Israel has demonstrated a remarkable amount of forebearance. That could end without notice -- at any time. In fact, I think it should. If Hamas cannot control radical elements in the Strip, then Israel will do it for them. Who says we aren't thoughtful?

Great work by our boys in beige. I personally salute them for doing an excellent job. And will go on parade with them inspecting down the line where they will mount my rear taking me up the back exit over and over again. For that I thank them. It's dirty work but someone's got to do it.
10. Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades?
Ypip ,   Canada   (10.11.12)
Good! and thank you IDF. It was probably a rat poison factory.
11. Only IDF confirmation: most likely health ctr targeted

Hasbara, out-right lies by idf.
12. #2 is absolutely right!
Michael ,   Canada   (10.11.12)
You want them to stop, bring them to their knees. As g-d fearing people, the jews have tried hard to do the peaceful, rightful, just, and the world mocks them anyway. The messianic era is coming, believe in hashem and fear no one else. It is time to destroy those that seek to destroy Israel!
13. Israel shows self restraint again.
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (10.11.12)
This will allow Gaza to fire more rockets at a whim into Israel. Take the gloves off and show them you are serious about the daily attacks. Level a city and set them back 100 years if they shoot a single rocket again. Time to show some REAL teeth and let the chips fall where they may. They don't stand a chance and the US has stockpiles ready to rearm Israel with. Stop the pillow fight retaliation and roll a few heads next time. It's that simple, enough IS enough Bibi.
14. #11 - to your ilk, Hasbara = "inconvenient facts"
William ,   Israel   (10.11.12)
Speaking of propaganda, only your ilk can claim health clinics in Gaza then claim there isn't adequate health care in Gaza. Just like Hamas' claims that the blockade is hurting everyone and Gaza is under occupation, but then claim Gaza is free and not under any occupation. I guess it's ok to change the facts to meet your timely agenda needs, but the rest of us in the world notice. The use of health facilities and ambulances by terrorists is well-documented. I especially loved it when UNWRA had hijacked ambulances but claimed Hamas wasn't behind it and it was instead a logistical mistake - then Hamas publicly admitting to STEALING the ambulances. Classic! And just like the faux-facts you spread around, like the 1400 civilian death count during Cast Lead, the truth will come out.
15. #5 - a better question is...how many civilians?
William ,   Israel   (10.11.12)
Despite the fact that Israeli deaths are low from rockets, thanks in part to bomb shelters and early warning systems, they are 100% ILLEGAL and are war crimes! Even one is not acceptable. So to your point, the real question is - how about civilians? Hamas rockets are SOLELY targeting civilians - city centers, playgrounds, farming communities. IDF army raids SOLELY target terrorists, especially those who fire rockets. When Gazans hit civilians, they celebrate, beat their chests, and hand out candies. How about another question - how many IDF army raids would occur if Hamas stopped firing rockets? 99% of them!
