Coalitions usually start fighting amongst themselves on average every 2 -2.5 years and rather than just have cabinet reshuffles as they would do in other countries we have fresh elections. I don't think a single government has ever served full four year term in Israel. The more single issue parties we have and there seem to be more of them every year the more the vote is split and thinner government majorities get so that means more single issue parties in the coalition increasing the chances of a potential split leading to elections. Don't you just love Israel's political system?
