1. The next PM must stop talking so much about U.S.A
Keren ,   IL-BR   (10.16.12)
and must start talking about his own people and ACTING to protect his own people. Only then a PM of Israel will be worth a thing.
2. Satmar chasidic
Zivron   (10.16.12)
The Satmar chasidim don't believe in a Jewish state and they are not even bundists .However the Islamists are worse they are against the Jewish state and want to massacre the Jews so it's a dilemma settlements expulsion of Arabs .However the Palestinian Population is Ten Million from one million in 1939 and the Jews have still not recovered the Genocide of the Shoah. From a humanitarian Islamic stance refuge ought have been offered to European Jewry under nazism in many Islamic lands not only Palestine .This Great Crime standing idly by of Islam could lead to horrible repercussions and soon.
3. Restrict Access
Dan ,   Florida - Tel Aviv   (10.16.12)
It is high time that access to Temple Mount and al-Aqsa Mosque be restricted until the rock throwing by Arabs against Jews stops. First I would tell Muslims that they may only visit the Mosque to pray, Temple Mount is off limits. Next attack I'd tell the Muslims they must disperse within 10 minutes after prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque. After that I'd close the entire Temple Mount and Mosque to Muslims. If rock attacks continue, I'd tell uslims that only Jews may visit the Temple Mount and if protests continue Israel may reclaim what is rightfully ours and start rebuilding the 3rd Temple.
4. Perhaps-"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house"?

5. What on earth are Jews doing living in East Jslm?
Baruch ,   Paris, France   (10.16.12)
What are Jews doing living in East Jerusalem? Tsahal should stay there - centuries if needed - until the Arabs are ready for peace. But putting Jewish civilians to live amongst Arabs is tantamount to pouring oil on the fire. To each his own country if there is ever to be peace.
6. 40 years ago this wasn't happening
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (10.16.12)
I lived in Jerusalem in the early then in the mid-1970s. This sort of thing never seemed to happen. This was after the Six Day War, then after the Entebbe Raid. Israel had a "don't mess with us" attitude and the Arab residents knew they'd been beaten. Now Israel telegraphs a message of weakness, which only invites aggression. The police don't want to do anything to get them (the Arabs) riled up, so Jewish residents are effectively on their own.
7. Why were all Jews evicted from eastern Jerusalem by Arabs?
Shlomo ,   USA   (10.17.12)
There were always Jews in Jerusalem, Baruch. In fact, there was a majority of Jews in the part of Jerusalem we now call the Old City in the early 1800s. The Arabs evicted every single Jew from eastern Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria in 1948. Every single one! Does that mean they can never go back? If I'm not mistaken 20% of Israel's present population is Arab, so why are Jews not allowed to live even in Areas that might become Arab if peace ever happens?
8. out of hand
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (10.17.12)
If this report be correct, it would seem that the Arab behavior is getting out of hand. Why do the police not enforce the laws of the land? If it were Jews, they would be crushed, smashed, beaten and dragged to jail. Why is the law not equal?
9. Stones
dave ,   melbourne AUS   (10.17.12)
Raymond in DC, I lived in Jerusalem in the mid 70's and was stoned by arabs several times, when i was 10.
10. Some clarification on the realities of this story
Reuven ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.17.12)
1. It is a little disingenuous to call Nof Tzion a "neighborhood" - it is a small group of buildings inside (not adjacent to) Jabel Mukaber 2. We all wish that all stone throwers would be arrested and prosecuted. However, the police are already spread far too thin. What happened here was that a developer stuck this development in Jabel Mukaber and marketed it to Jews; anyone with half a brain knew it was and is a dangerous location. Now they want extra protection because they are living in an Arab neighborhood. The developer claimed that the local Arabs were happy to have Nof Tzion in their neighborhood, and gullible people believed him. Now they are in danger and want extra police protection. I wonder how many of the residents have indeed volunteered for Mishmar Ezrachi or how much the developer is willing to pay for full-time security that he knew all along was going to be a necessity.
11. This is terrorism! Long prison
Reuven   (10.17.12)
terms are needed for these Arab rock throwers.
12. Needed: Jews making their own patrols
Tracy W   (10.17.12)
If police is useless - and they usually are when it comes to protecting Jews - then Jews need to set up their own system to protect themselves. Don't rely on government, which has abandoned you already. Now neither motorists nor pedestrians nor residents are safe. Not even graves at Mount of Olives. They are all under Arab attack, but police are too busy arresting Jews who pray at Temple Mount.
13. Reuven: Nof Zion & the Developer
Bat-El   (10.17.12)
NZ's "developer" filed bankruptcy, thus only 7-bldgs got built, not the entire project. NZ is located just inside, at the beginning, of the Arab village, and is a 4-min walk to the Israeli Police Station, which has a visual to the entire area - village/valley, etc.! The developer is not in the picture. The residents have to fend for themselves. The police [& at times even IDF] are dealing with the "natives", who create other problems. It is a legal neighborhood, though small! There are other Jewish "neighborhoods" and/or enclaves in Mizrach Y'rshlm, i.e., the Rova, Ma'aleh HaZeitim, etc.! If you don't know what you're talking about or don't have anything "nice" to say, keep quiet. WE, Bnei Yisrael, have the zechut to live wherever we want in Eretz Yisrael! If YOU don't get it, I feel sorry for you, and for anyone who continues to act cowardly, due to the Arab presence. WE will NEVER acquire what is RIGHTFULLY ours with such behavior, as THEY will view us as weak! Chodesh Tov u'Mevorach L'chol Am Yisrael!
