Treat 'em mean ,keep 'em keen.
3. Hotels are v. expensive yet have tiny tiny rooms
Boris Mann ,   France   (11.01.12)
That and the fact that most flights into Ben Gurin occur at the crack of dawn or very late at night. (The airport is dead between 9am and 8 pm). Topsy-turvy schedule unique in the World.
4. Most tourists don't complain
Ethan Schwartz ,   Eilat   (11.01.12)
They just don't return and complain to their friends that don't come either.
5. Being poisoned at restaurants or being taken to where you
(11.01.12)
don't want to go by Russian taxi drivers who don't understand English or don't know where it is they should drive to so they drop you off wherever is convenient to them to get rid of you so they can go pull the same dirty trick on someone else.
6. The "ROTZEH LEILAS" are too pushy.
Anon. ,   The World   (11.01.12)
7. The maids at some hotels knife clothes of people they are
(11.01.12)
jealous of or take the screws out of eyeglasses when they clean the rooms and God only knows what else they do.
8. toilets
tsfatisha ,   tsfat   (11.01.12)
well at least here in tzfat that's the main problem. there just aren't enough toilets for the number of visitors, nor are they always open when visitors might want them...eg evenings, shabbat, etc. even in the middle of summer you may have to ask for a key from a shop that is closed for lunch. and you can't always find them as the signage is poor too. no wonder most tour groups don't stay more than 2 hrs in tzfat..they have to leave to find a toilet....
9. There's a depression on
Bondar   (11.01.12)
If you can afford galavanting around as a tourist while others starve, you should get abused.
10. Tourism in Israel
M. Hartley ,   Altanta, US   (11.02.12)
Visiting friends, I spent a week at the Best Western Regency Suites in Tel Aviv last month and my stay there was wonderful, due in large part to the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, especially of Miss Leah Shaer. The only grouchy people I came across were Russian cab drivers, but maybe I wouldn't be Miss Sunshine, either, if I had to haul who knows how many obnoxious tourists around all day long. I did, however, notice that a thank you and a decent tip never failed to produce a smile.
