can stay indifferent to Jerusalem s magnificence.

I know the CBS in our capital . Did you see the dirth at the stations themselve ? A train station near your home , great . But not everyone lives in the vicinuty of it . Bus 405 very rapidly to Tel Aviv ? One hour . Or the 480 ? And then ? You need another bus to bring you in the center .I have 4 bus lines to Tel Aviv . One to the North [ 49 ] two to the center [ 66 & 82 ] and one to the CBS [ 51 ] all of them in my vicinity . So i'm faster where i want to be . Commuting every day , you may have it . I did it abroad , only a 25 km from my home by car , so i know what it is . But you did'nt talk about those intolerant hateful "people" who shout at women not "decently dressed , who hurl stones at cars on shabbat , and so on . I like to go out on Shabbat too , to have a drink with friends at a terrasse . To eat a fine meal in a restaurant , even with shrimps or mussels . I like to have a steak with some butter on it , great , but impossible in a kosher restaurant .

Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.22.12)
You said : every place is packed on Thursday and Saturday nights . Are those people not working the next day ? have'nt they chidren who must go to school friday or sunday . When you go out Friday night , you can rest Saturday .
34. Charles, why all the hatred?
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (10.22.12)
Charles...this was an article about someone who supposedly loves Jerusalem. You seem to hate it, and like where you live. That's great. I hope you enjoy your life there. We can also enjoy our lives here. I would rather enjoy the 6 days of a nicer life here and not be able to go to a restaurant on Shabbat than to deal with all the insanity of Tel Aviv all week long. Have your Shabbats and your shrimps. We have Jerusalem. About intolerance, please!!!! You hate religion and religious people.True religious people (not the few nuts they show on TV for ratings) love you and all Jews. They are not capable of hate. Stop watching the news and come spend Shabbat with a (real) religious family. Maybe you will learn something and change your mind. As I wrote earlier, we all get along fine here. Anything else is fiction written by people who do not live here. Restaurants are free to open whenever they like, including Shabbat. The owners just make the decision to have a business that caters to all the people, not only the secular. They also deserve a day off as well, don't they? They make up for it on Thursdays and Saturday nights. If you are wealthy enough to go out to restaurants EVERY day, my hats off to you, you are a lucky man. We have 6 days to choose to go to a restaurant, and that is enough for most people. I am lucky if I can afford to go out once a month.
35. 30 Charles If really you do not have ..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
a divine part in you [which i do not believe],,then you are missing something essential . Thanks G-D i have the great privilege to have a 100%Jewish Neshama and since i am caring for it, as much as for my body,i feel IN PEACE WITH MYSELF and am apt to love also Jews from different societies than me .[ the so called Atheists included] . as long they are GOODHEARTED and RESPECTFUL.
36. 34 Ephraim Your gentle ,thoughtful ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
reaction is an example how to answer to hateful Jews. Who are mostly FINE Jews, who do not live in peace with themselves ,since they neglect their soul, thirsty of Judaism.
37. #21 Charles, My point exactly, you are the proof.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.22.12)
Tourists come to Israel to enjoy the country, see the most beautiful in it. Parts of Jerusalem fit this description, but certainly not Mea Shaarim and not even the Kotel. Bnei Brak doesn't fit the bill either. But Zfat does, I agree with you, along with Natzrat's Christian section. But the main attraction are the cities you mention: T.A., Haifa, Natanya. And I love Mahteshim, the Sde Boker surroundings, Beer Sheva's University, and Ein Gedi, don't you? Now, have you ever seen a Haredi touring those places?
38. #21 Charles, Wise Man, what is "100 % Jewish"
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.22.12)
I can not pretend knowing what 10% Jewish is, so I need to ask you: what did you mean by 100%? Tell me, as a total atheist and an apicorse, how many percent do I have? I promise to write the number you give me on my forehead with a thick black pen.
39. 37 In most of the places you mention...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
there are Kosher hotels.For whom?
40. Ora , You are an EXEPTION
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.22.12)
With a heart full of love for everyone , even for secular Atheists as i am , that's why i generally try to respect you . Fine that you live in PEACE with yourself , i do it too . Regarding a "divine" part in myself , i've never seen it , but i certainly don't miss anything [ exept the reserves of the national bank , i could use ]
41. 38 Michael,Why not achieve 120% ?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
to get in the Guinness book.
42. Ephraim and Ora: Love all Jews
Sebastian ,   Jerusalem   (10.22.12)
I'm sorry to say it, but people that say that they love all the Jews make me sick. Does that mean that you automatically love all the 13 million Jews, but not the other 7 billion non-Jews of the world? I can understand that you prefer your kin, as do I. But putting the emphasis on the fact that you love every JEW clearly indicates that you are able to hate billions of people. I have a surprise for you: there are good goy outside your bubble, and there are extremely nasty jews inside it.
43. Michael , not your point !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.22.12)
Yes , tourists come here to see the kotel too , even secular atheists as i am did it . And i will ALWAYS remember the moment Rav Goren blew the Shofar on this great day in June 67 . A great moment for a 100 % Jew , i heard it LIVE on Europe 1 , abroad Religious , and even charedi , visit those places you mention , maybe not en masse , but they are more interested , and i understand them , in the Jewish quarter of old Yeroushalaim , than in Sde Boker's surrounding . You were NOT talking about charedi tourists in your first post , but about tourists . Now you bring in charedi tourists . Tourist come to Tel Aviv because of the beach . Why do you think that the big hotels are there ? And those hotels serve only kosher food , have a Shabbat elevator . Why do you think ? Nathanya for the same reason .
44. #43, Coalition haggling made hotels do it, by law.
Michael ,   California, USA   (10.22.12)
For every kosher restaurant in Israel there are fifty treif ones; no, make it one hundred. As to rav Goren, he was a good man, an Israeli patriot, and definitely in the spirit in June of 1967 to blow the shofar. I will accept this definition: A 100 % ISRAELI is one who blows the shofar (a virtual one is OK) on the anniversary of the Six Day war. But I will not know who a 100 % Jew is until you tell me.
45. Ephraim , you told that Jerusalem has
(10.22.12)
many things to offer to visitors , yes , and you even forgot some places . The Israel Museum , the national library , the Kotel ! , the rebuilt Hurva Synagogue or the three small sephardi ones . But you have also a vast quantity of intolerant charedim , a very negative point . In Tel Aviv , people can go to the beach on shabbat , walk on the Tayelet , eat in one of the restaurants on the beach . Great , and without any one to shout on "indecent" clothes !
46. Ephraim , you told us that Jerusalem has

47. 42 Sebastian,if i say that i love....
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
all red meat, does it mean that i hate white meat? I know many good goys ,but i am not sure you are one of them. Let me remind you,i said i love all Jews,AS LONG THEY ARE GOODHEARTED and RESPECTFUL.
48. 43 Charles You remember the shofar
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
from 45 years ago? May be you don t see your 100% Jewish Neshama, but you feel it for sure!
49. 42 Sebastian,I am very sorry i did
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.22.12)
hurt you. I you are a goodhearted and respectful Non-Jew in Israel, you deserve lots of loving friendship .God luck,Sebastian.
50. To #27 Ephraim. What a lovely talkback!
J.U.Bengtsson ,   Malmoe, Sweden   (10.23.12)
51. 38 Michael How many % do you have?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.23.12)
Ask this question to yourself . If you feel there is place for some improvement, and if you feel like going for it, then the writing on your forehead "100% Jew" will be superflu, `cause the radiance of your eyes shall witness it.
52. # 32
Birdi ,   Israel   (10.23.12)
So very true Ora.
53. Ora , I have a good memory
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
And even remember the name of the reporter : Julien Besancon . I think that a record was made of his reports . He also wrote a book : Bazak , la guerre d'Israel . For me there were three important facts in modern Jewish Israeli history : partition vote , declaration of independance and liberation of Jerusalem , symbolised by this great moment on the Kotel . I always said that i'm 100 % Jewish , from head to toe . you call it neshama , i not . Don't you remember facts that are important in your eyes ? I think we both know what a TRUE amazing zoo is .
54. 44 , references please for this law
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
I'm a 100 Jew . A Jew at least does NOT oppose brith mila , is not against everything Jewish .
55. Ephraim TRY # 2
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
I don't hate my Capital , only some of her inhabitants . Even abroad one was shouting "shabbes" at me when i drove my car . Another asked my "as a friend" not to use my car this day . Very tolerant , not ? I dislike it when someone comes with "untrue" arguments . The train station is only 5 minutes from your home , great . But the train takes 1h17 to 1h28 to come to one of the Tel Aviv stations . Then you need a bus to reach the center . The bus from Jerusalem faster as those from my town to Tel Aviv ? the 405 takes around 50-55 minutes from CBS to CBS . Sometimes more [ in the rush hours a bus needs more than 20 minutes to reach harel interchange ] People need first to reach the CBS , and need another bus to come to Tel Aviv's center . In less than one hour i'm in Dizengoff street ,[ from my home 5 minutes more ] The times are those i checked [ trains ] or experienced myself [ the 405 from Harel to TA ] And not to talk about the fares . I checked it , there are restaurants open on Shabbat in Jerusalem , but how can someone without a car reach them ? They certainly have a day of rest , in the week . I'm not going to restaurants every day , where did i write such a thing ? Two or three times a month is more than enough
56. 44 , can you give us this law ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
references please .
57. 53 Charles You have a much better ..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.23.12)
memory than i. I admire your great culture. I mostly remember what moved me. I think emotion stems from the soul and not from the mind [which in my opinion has not the faculty to be emotive].
58. Ora , did'nt your hear Rav Goren then ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
I heard him live at my work [ you know what i was working in ] This week we were not very productive , always listening radio . Rav Goren said also something as : this year , at this moment , in liberated Yeroushalaim . A great moment for 100 % Jews . If you call "mind" what in french is "raison" , i agree . Raison can't be emotive .
59. 38 , i'll try it again
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (10.23.12)
To be , at least a little bit Jewish , you can't be against Brith Mila , you can't oppose EVERYTHING that is Jewish . Your score ? negative in my eyes
60. 58 I mixed up mind with brain,sorry.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (10.23.12)
Must be that you lived this extraordinary event more intensely than i did, since i don t remember the details the way, you, without doubt a 100% Jew, do..
