There were no demands made of the P.A.. despite the PA/s rejection, in effect, of the former PM Olmert's offer of east Jerusalem plus most of Judea and Samaria. in 2006-08. The PA also rejected former PM Barak's offer of peace in 2000 and launched a terror war against Israel. Romney is emotionally connected to Israel and while he is cautious he knows that Iran is a real threat to Israel and to America in the long run. The tit-for-tat response to attacks on Israel will not work. What would Israel do, if Syrian chemical weapons, mounted on Libyan rockets, were to be fired into Israel? The Muslim attackers all claim that their attacks are in response to their religion. They are incited and eulogized by the Mullahs. Israel should recognize that the religious fervor that drives the attackers must be responded to. Israel should place explosives around the Al Aksa Mosque, and announce that the next attack on Israel will result in destruction of the Mosque. Enough of sitting by while synagogues and churches are destroyed, and Christians and Jews are killed, in the name of Islam. Tell the Mullahs that the decision to preserve or destroy the Mosque is theirs. Either stop the attacks, or cause the destruction of the Mosque. Announcing that policy, or even the destruction of the Mosque, will not worsen the situation, because it cannot be worsened. Muslims are already committed to the destruction of Israel, and death to the Jews, and are doing their best to make that happen. "Worse" means allowing that to continue.
