Obama in his next term will actively undermine Israel against Iran, and will actively seek to be "more Palestinian than the Palestinians" in trying to stop Jewish settlement in the West Bank. Romney may not go after Iran actively, but he will not undermine Israel, he will speak tough and he will, in the end, use surgical American force to take out nuclear sites without putting American boots on the ground, if he has to do it to stop an Iranian bomb. He will also not force Israel to stop settlements and negotiate with the PLO while it is still committed to Israel's destruction. This bitter pill for the Palestinians may actually work to get them to change their tune and begin real negotiations for the land that remains for them. Aaron David Miller is also wrong that Iran is only a problem for Israel. The Saudis and Gulf Arab States are very quiet, but their open support for anti-Iranian/Syrian/Hezbollah forces in Syria shows exactly where their feelings lie.

A self serving observation-prespectives from a die-hard Democrate; though he has his heart in the right place, I think it is too late and too little to stop the Romney 'flight' to a rather crashing victory. There were no signs, out of arrogance or just right down stupidity, when opportunity to send message in a form of soft talk, compromise and symbols of reconcilioation. None of that were prompted by the White House compaign militants (Axelrod, where were you?!). Anyway, I wish President Obama a great and prosperous (he'll join Clinton on the roads) retirement.

If Romney is elected which now seems likely then Israel will most likely give him a month of so to see what his intentions are and if they see no commitment to attacking Iran then Israel will do it. If it looks like Obama is going to win just a few days before the election then Israel will most likely attack before the elections.

Nonsense. Look at the guy's record and be the judge.
