31. Israel taken hostage
Robert Barnett ,   London U.K   (10.25.12)
Israel has not even negotiated a cease fire with Hamas. This is the reality. In fact they cannot retaliate against Hamas as they are afraid of any full scale war from Hamas , Iran , Syria..... So , better keep quiet and let them bombard Israel , after all Bibi is in his bunker , so is Baba , so is Bouba (very quiet nowadays) and let the Israelis struggle for their lives and security. Where is the army of the State of Israel in such time? keeping its head in the sand (don't see , don't hear, don't speak). Let Hamas show this fat prince of Qatar how to spend the millions of US$ he gave them during his visit to Gaza. Money for nothing. Instead of building hospitals , schools, roads...Hamas is investing in rockets and bombs...exactly the Arab spirit.
32. Ultimate weapon
Emma ,   London   (10.25.12)
What Israel needs to develop is a weapon which fires the rockets straight back into Gaza like a boomerang. Then she can't be accused of bombing innocent civilians.
33. #27 The IDF is not in Gaza
Jake   (10.25.12)
The terrorists from Gaza are attacking Israeli civilians and soldiers on the ISRAELI side of the Gaza strip fence. Israeli drone strikes in Gaza are responses to their terror activities. Not that there is any such thing as "Gazan airspace". Only sovereign states have legally recognized airspaces.
34. Make the price of breaking the cease-fire extremely high
William ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
Just like a customer would levy high fines for every day the contract work is overdue, so should Israel make it know that ANY violation of the agreement, no matter how small, will be answered extremely harshly. The only reason for the cease-fire was because Hamas was (again) losing men and weapons and needed a way out. They leaned on Egypt to broker the deal and used the Eid as an excuse. The real reason for barrage of rockets was because the Emir of Qatar was in town and Hamas believed Israel wouldn't risk hitting back if harming the Emir was an option.
35. #14 - old diatribes don'e work anymore
William ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
Your old slogans aren't working anymore. The world sees Arab terror for what it is. No one can claim being a victim then send 79 rockets into civilian centers. That's why Hamas is on the world terror list, not Israel. But you already knew that, Elias.
36. #27 - because Hamas declared war on Israel
William ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
and keep violating Israel's sovereignty and Israelis right to life. Turkey responded the same way to Syria's violations, yet no one has accused them of "occupying" Syria.
37. #31 - pretty sure a heavy response to Hamas
William ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
would not initiate a war from Assad who is fighting a civil war, or besieged Tehran. It certainly didn't during Cast Lead in 2009. It's the not IDF which is the problem...it's the Israeli leaders which are the problem. Barak did the same damn thing in 2002 when he tried his best to ignore Arab atrocities and refused to root out terrorists in our midst. Only an overwhelming public demand, under the banner "Let the IDF win!" did Barak budge.
38. #25 - people don't have to be killed to have lives in danger
William ,   Israel   (10.25.12)
otherwise, there is no excuse for external intervention in Syria, right?
